Sup /g/, I need a new mp3 player. My clip+ died (it was shit anyway). What do you recommend?
Please don't say a phone, I would like a dedicated device.
>>60749467
Get an old phone you can root, install xposed and physical button media control addon.
I still use my Zune after all these years. I like its tactile controls for use while driving and it holds up well to abuse.
Why isn't my IP address changing every time I reset my modem anymore I rang my ISP and they said I still have a dynamic IP.
This crazy thing called a DHCP lease time.
Change your router's Mac address that will pretty much force a new ip

you could try not using your interwebs for around 3 days and see how it goes gl wth that
So I recently got a GTX 1050, I installed it. But the monitor will not turn on. I removed the Graphics card and now the monitor works fine. Wat do?
Realize the card is dead/that slot, Or you're not plugging the screen into the card.
Try someone's card/try it in another PC/take it to a PC repair joint and get them to try the card on the test bench.
Not turning on as in no signal, or blank screen but with signal? You getting enough power to the card? PSU can handle it?
>>60749473
No signal
Told my tech illiterate friend I have an amazing 1TB flash drive to fuck with him and now he wants to see it. How do I make this shitty 4GB drive show as 1TB when I plug it in? The Chinese are able to fake free space so there must be a way.
Stop selling fake flash drives, Jamal.

Chairs are technology
Thinking about buying https://www.wayfair.com/Serta-at-Home-Tranquility-Executive-Chair-SERT1033.html
but I'd have to buy it online, and I like testing my chairs in store, but the office max selection was shitty. anyone know how this one is?
>tfw too poor to afford a good chair
they are unreasonably expensive. I feel like I could learn carpentry and cook one up myself within reasonable time.

I have this program I use for managing extended desktops on My linux boot called ARandR. It works fine, except for the part where the program doesn't save the next time I boot up into Debian. Every time I log into Debian I have to re-do the settings. Even when I save the profile it doesn't go back and find the settings. It's almost as if I have to manually tell the program to find X settings every time I log in... The funny thing is, I never remember this program just reverting back to the defaults when I installed Debian about two - three months ago. Does anyone know how to tell ARandR how to save Your settings or perhaps know of a better program for setting up an extended desktop?
>>60749134
ArandR can turn your config into a script to save when your system initializes past the login screen.
Did it on my mint PC and works just fine now.
>>60749378
How do You do this? I have the script properties box open. How do i enter the folder where My setting are saved??
Please respond.
How does a bunch of neurons transmitting electricity and chemicals allow me to think?
you're a manifestation of the universe experiencing itself, you are not thinking, it's jusdt the universe going about its own existence.
>>60749091
In your case, I'd be pressed to find what goes on up there to be considered thinking.

My father had a friend that used to fix our computers. I would always hang around whenever he came over. Guess it started there.
Scrap yard PC vs raspberry pi: which one would you choose price /performance wise?
>>60748860
Scrapyard PC: Probably broken ancient Pentium 4 garbage. Has AIDS from sitting in a scrapyard.
Raspi: Actually works. Slow, but works.
>>60748860
>crappy ARM processor that's absolutely useless for any real work
vs
>semi-decent x86 processor that can actually run useful applications
gee i wonder which is better
Scrapyard PC for sure if you know where to look.
Are these temperatures ok for my computer or should i be worried?
