Was getting mount part of your plan?
early
Even $800 Android phones don't get any updates, don't get new OSes, don't get any security fixes.
Why are Android users such cucks and sheep?
>>60778183
Mmm running 7.1.1 on my N5.
And will have the newest version until the end of times probably.
Alias, way less obsolete than a iPhone 5S which literally cannot handle the OS anymore.

You can install whatever you want on other phones, stop shilling and kys pajeet
DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING -- that is what an EMP blast of sufficient power from a nuclear weapon or from the FUCKING SUN will do. All files stored on magnetic media: hard disk drives, solid state drives, magnetic tapes, floppies -- will all be lost. Even after recovery of electrical infrastructure software used to recover data may be lost; or, if the software survives, it will not really work at recovering data from fried magnetic media. All websites are just files and folders stored on magnetic media; imagine the world where all websites are permanently deleted: not very fun.
However, optical media will be totally unharmed. OPTICAL MEDIA = MASTER RACE.

Data loss would be the least of your worries here. 90% of those affected would starve to death or be killed due to lawlessness.
So I guess I should print all of my photos

I've been considering that idea for my script but unfortunately I have to go with something less extreme that humanity can recover from fairy quickly. A great idea for an apocalypse though!
Which linux distro does the US government use?
>>60810513
Actually they use Windows.
Even Windows 10 Enterprise is now rated "secure" for internal use by them
>>60810513
Large Hard Doors
>>60810533
They can use windows because they're the only real risk on windows.

Itt teaching
Starting teaching old people how to computer; does anyone have any suggestions or tips? Id like to establish a curriculum but i dont know where to start
Make it as less scary as possible. Id they feel overwhelmed they will say fuck it and not deal with it.
Make a cheat sheet of words and acronyms commonly used for them to get familiar with.
And be patient
>>60809082
Would I do better to focus on computer vocabulary; or skills. Toward skills are there any that would be especially important such as "how to email" and how deep to I explain something like email?
>>60809058
They have to want to actually learn. I have a 65 year old coworker who refuses to learn how to use our computer system. I routinely have to show him how to scan documents and open them on the computer. How to check and send email. How to open, edit, and save a text file.
Every time he asks for help and I show him something he'll just complain that he has no idea why we have to use computers anyways and how he did all his work fine 30 years ago without a computer and how he can't wait to retire.
Why is everyone shilling for AMD now. Even pleb-tier shitty normie (((tech))) youtubers are absolutely worshipping AMD saying that Intel is over, or some shit.
Zen, nicca.
Cheap, fast, fully featured silicon, with no segmented differentiation. No nickel and diming. Just buy what you want, and get more than you need.

>unable to perform a heel-toe downshift
>CANNOT perform a fourier series expansion
>has listened to less than 3,000 albums
>CANNOT run a mile in under seven (7) minutes
peasants like you make me sick.

Zen arrived and took Intel by surprise.
Now Threadripper comes to ram it in the ass clothes on.
Intel is the only one to blame here.
So I just switched to comcast xfinity for my residential isp
I suggest nobody else do the same. ever.
The first week me having xfinity they stopped routing to archive.org because their shit was jacked
>https://archive.rebeccablacktech.com/g/thread/60703104
Comcast blocks all TCP port 25 traffic so that you cant have a functioning email server at home without paying for a 3rd party relay service that uses something besides port 25 as its smtp relay port
Comcast says you can enable port 25 by request:
But this is only a partial truth.
Sure, you can request port 25 be unfiltered and they will do it for you... if you upgrade to business class internet and want to pay $140 a month for just 20/down and 10/up.
Worst of all, when you call comcast support all you get is pajeet after pajeet who doesnt know what the hell your talking about and thinks you dont know how to operate a computer when you tell them that your home email server isnt working and you need them to stop filtering port 25
>>60808850
Are you retarded.
>>60808902
obviously, because I signed up for comcast internet
Serious question.
Because US burgers have almost no choice in selecting an ISP, where would one determine which ISP is able to service our area?
And if so what is the cutoff?
I am very judgmental towards people who use computers daily but cant touch type
>>60808779
Typing skills are for secretaries, so no.
Yes. I don't take anybody with less then 90 WPM seriously. Over the year's I've learned 90 is the threshold.
Your WPM is your IQ.
I have 2 hdds
So i unplugged one of them's cable and installed windows 10 to other one
Next i unplugged windows installed hdd's cable and installed ubuntu
Now plugged both cables but i don't have grub boot menu too chose. I can still dual boot by choosing hard disk boot priority from bios
What should i do? I needed that grub boot menu to select windows or os
what to do?
>>60808424
Install Gentoo.
>>60808424
have you tried turning it off and on again?
>>60808424
You unplugged the HDDs, so now neither boot menus knew about the other OS and did not add them. As far as both of them know, they are the only OS's on your computer.
press and hold F12 while booting.

60billion what? downloads from appstore? This is a poor metric since people and bots have incentive to download apps to earn money not to forget app updates on the app store count as a download
Don't tell me people haven't noticed yet
Hey /g/ any idea what kinda usb stick this is? It has a great size of 512gb and the guy wants just 25$ for it.
But I'm wondering what the hell can I use a portable 512gb for and how resistant the stick is, plus the speed. From how much I understood the bigger the size, the easier it is to corrupt the files.
>>60808078
Supposedly it's 3.0 but not 3.1 or 3.2
it's probably not 512 GB
It's shit and no way in hell 512GB.
So, I think this is a kernel panic. Or, maybe the OS is corrupted. Or maybe the hard drive died (not likely this, it's quiet as can be).
Can anyone lend a hand? It gets to about 75% of the way through loading the OS when it dumps that.

Tl,dr: nvidia used a full retard setting to inflate how HDR was oh so much better
>>60807414
Feel like i'm in an 80's department store all over again.
That HDR on the left is dumb as fuck. Background should always have less contrast than foreground.
unsurprising coming from nvidia, but HDR support being standardised is a welcome change imo.
if it doesn't do anything but result in wider colour gamuts on low-mid spec monitors in the future, it's well worth it - no more 65% RGB colour space shit shows.
