So I guess this question has been asked a multitude of times but please help if you can. What is the best FREE VPN right now ? I don't care about speed since I only need it for browsing. I care about them not keeping records mostly. I also don't care whether it provides a software or not since I can set it up myself either way.
Good luck finding a free vpn that doesn't log all network activity (they don't exist).
>>60826074
Well shit. So what's the best paying one then ? And are paying ones always fast ?

I get speeds good enough to online game with on the usa servers, and just switch server locations if I start to lag too much.
What went wrong?

Does the Gentoomen Library have viruses?
Also book thread.
>>60825752
no
that would be one of the most inefficient ways to spread a virus ever.

Why the fuck would they bother making such a nice monitor in 1080p??????
Like the idea of two actual monitor merged into one is great. But fucking 1080p???
Not 1200 or 1440...... Retards

Maybe it was cheaper and their target demographic was gamers and office people.
One large screen is better than two smaller.

The eye can't see higher then 1080p you retard
Can we have a light/lamp thread ?
I'm thinking of a way to automatically light all my lamps at a preset time or instead be able to turn on all of them from my smartphone (because I'm a lazy ass and don't want to leave my desk).
Also thinking if it would be possible to set the lights so they automatically and slowly turn off (like decrease of intensity and heat of the bulb).
How can I do that ?
Also, post lamps.
>>60825587
bump
>>60825587
It's a lamp. Just buy a normal lamp. Turn it on when you need it, turn it off when you don't. Don't reinvent something that works perfectly.

Ok, /g/. I'm kind of been out of the loop for a while with components. These new SSDs are a little confusing to me, usage wise. I understand that they are much faster, but I don't quite understand what you should be designating to run off the SSD? I've gotten mixed responses from techs some saying put only things like your operating system and frequently used programs on it, and put games and platforms like Steam/Origin on your HDD. Then I've been told completely the opposite by others, and to put all my games on to the SSD. Who's right, is anyone right? I'm completely ignorant to this kind of thing, so apologies if this is a simple/stupid question.
The computer I'm building will be for gaming and entertainment.
>>60825579
if this thread 404s try putting it on the stupid questions general. I would help you, but I'm a poor fag brainlet
M.2 is a form factor, not the connection
a M.2 SSD is not faster than a SATA SSD, now NVMe is where the crazy speed is, because it uses PCI-E for data transfer
>>60825579
Your games and programs won't load any quicker on a nvme ssd, keep that in mind. Generally, put your OS on the ssd, and anything else you use often. Use HDD for backups and all your other shit that won't fit on the ssd.
buying this for a gaming rig would be an in the grave mistake just buy one of the normal ryzen chips instead if you are just gaming
I'll play Dwarf Fortress on it.

Hey /g/, crossposting from /vr/.
I've got a RPi3b and a GERT VGA666 adapter that plugs onto the GPIO pins. Has anyone here used one of these things before? I'm getting no signal out whatsoever, tried multiple displays.
>get adapter, push it down flush onto GPIO pins
>add the few lines into config.txt that supposedly enable VGA out
>try multiple clean installs of different OS, try every resolution I can think of, try both CRT and LCD monitors, nothing works
Also general Memeberry discussion I guess

I got one anon, are you using berryboot or some other multi OS setup. That will cause issues. Also make sure you disabled SPI and I2C is raspiconfig.

Remember all those computer viruses you used to get? How many of you were old enough to recall getting infected by the Blaster Worm?
I never got any malware thanks to Common Sense

Common Sense didn't protect from Blaster.

I had that shit back in the day, was the cause of my first reformat, or atleast the first I did on my own. Drivers were a bitch on XP, I remember having to go to the library to get network card drivers because I reformatted and didn't remember to download them to a usb (I had a 128mb stick I think).
I don't miss that part of back in the day.
