Just bought myself this lovely 1440p monitor second hand and this happened on the way home... Needless to say I'm devastated, is there anything that can be done for this monstrosity?

What's the best way to transfer videos to my iPad without a computer? I was thinking of torrenting on my phone, compressing it, dropping it in drop box, and then unzipping it on iPad but surely there's an easier way right?

What is the most advanced resampling software avaible to public?
Photoshop, gimp both have this option but results are not great. Especially gimp one has low quality, pixelated results.

Vectorisation probably.
>>
>>60896042
>Vectorisation
Is that specific software?
Ofcour I know what vectorisation is,just did not realize it is also name of some specific software.

The free vectorisation tools tend to be more work than hand-redrawing it.

Edge directed interpolation is a thing. I don't know about any FOSS tool beyond proof on concept but some of those methods should be fairly easy to implement.

ex-owner of VK donated them a huge amount. To him, it's pennies. It's pretty much a flip-the-finger to the Russian government for pushing him out of his own business. He purchased citizenship in a Caribbean country and has been hanging out in the commonwealth ever since.

Use wikipedia, you dumb faggot

I'm a jew and autistic when it comes to picking out the best thing for my money. I could get the 970 for 200 Eu (new, on sale, 12 month warranty)

https://www.zotac.com/product/graphics_card/gtx-970-amp-extreme

or the MSI 1060 3gb mini for 220 Eu (new, 36 month warranty).

https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1060-AERO-ITX-3G-OC.html

The 970 can reach 1060 6gb levels of performance when overclocked. Which one should I get? Or should I wait for Vega? Are they even planning to release a mid-range Vega?

980 4gb here isn't worth it for the price (on sale for 290 Eu), and the performance increase is only around 15% over the 1060 in most games

So, as of today the European Court has "freed" the way for Dutch providers to block The Pirate Bay.
Since TPB is consciously breaking Copyright Laws.

What are /g/'s thoughts on this? Do you agree or disagree?

I'm studying the ELF format and can't grasp one structure field: e_entry. What does it mean? What is it for? Does it load the whole ELF file there or just the .text section? If everything is in virtual memory anyway, why is the point of it?

Just before you ask, I was born in 1997, I don't know anything about operating systems and how do they deal and dealt with memory, I just want to learn the ELF format so I could make my own compiler. I'm not interested in making my own operating system at the moment.

It's the program's entry point, where it begins to execute the code once it's loaded into memory.

t. Debian stable

Arch (or similar distros like manjaro) is supposed to be better for customisation, but I've been running debian for a while now and I dont see how arch is really any better than any other distro for customisation. Is there actually any advantage or is it just a meme for muh superiority?

Bleeding edge shit is what everyone is after that runs Arch. Plus, the AUR is full of tons of stuff.
>>
>>60895175
this. Arch is months if not years head.
Example: python is python3 and python2 is python2.7
this will hit normie setups earliest 2020
Although you can argue that such changes can be made manually, few people will get out of their way to enforce this so you get a headstart and adjust to changes coming to the GNU/Loonix ecosystem without autistic gentoo compile times.
>>
Arch is a trap. Once you install it there's no going back.

>adapter is called "wi-fi 2"

>connects automatically

>this isn't the first time that this has happened; it was up to like "wi-fi 4" the first time I caught it

What causes this?
>>
>>60895123
that's a posture problem. not a key actuation problem.
you'll need to adjust the keyboard so that your wrists aren't bent when typing.

>>60895134
shit adapter. shit drivers.
if you need wireless and this is a desktop, consider getting a wireless client bridge.
basically a router that connects to your main wifi and converts it to a wired connection.
if it's a laptop, wtf.
