well technically you can use rayon library and just rewrite iter to par_iter, but I agree with the point. Also rust code is also just one iteration.

When do you folks think you'll get an OLED? When they figure out the image retention problems, when it dips below a certain price, when they figure out to grade in HDR well enough to warrant a better panel, or some combination of all that?

>>
>>60729717
once tv's ramp up oled production, we will likely get monitors that are oled as a regular thing, or we will get tv's that have fast enough response time to make dedicated monitors obsolete.
>>
We already have an OLED monitor, it's just very expensive and has some issues with motion.

Good OLED monitors probably aren't all that far off anymore. LG has fixed a lot of the issues typically associated with OLED and more manufacturers are jumping into the game. Samsung is planning to get self emitting quantum dot displays(which should work similar to OLED) by 2020.

Just a matter of getting the cost down now. OLED is in a similar place to 4K like four or so years ago at this point.

In that order although the CIA might still have tricks to get around this.

So /g/ents. I need your help. I've been doing web dev for 8 years, mostly C# ASP.NET and then MVC. I want to move away from MS tech. What should I learn?

Some things:
- I hate all the shit I have to do to "code" in JS. I've built a couple web apps in react/node and in Angular and it's always been hell. Too many fucking layers. If there's a simpler JS framework, fine. But I've yet to hear of one.
- I'm assuming no one's gonna suggest PHP but, just in case, if you were gonna: don't.

Pic related: how I feel trying to figure out JS libraries/frameworks.

Why not Java? It's the greatest enterprise solution after Microsoft.

You can also use Python for some dope shit.
>>
>>60728767
I like Golang for webdev,
Python is also pretty cool with Flask.
Front end you're going to NEED JS unfortunately.

Stupid question, it's more diy, but I still gotta ask. Can I solder a 6 pin pcie connector onto a stick gtx 1050 ti for overclock?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>60728401
Nope. You can't.
>>
>>60728401 You can but it might require a bit more soldering than just a connector. And nopi it wont improve your overclock. Do a voltmod and/or replace cooler.
>>
>>60728401
Other than getting a bit better cooler, and you will hit the roof pretty quick.
There's just not much you can do with the gtx10x0 series.

Nvidia have cucked them (whole series) to be unstable over a certain frequency on core/mem so you won't be able to just overclock a 1050 to 1060 performance, etc.. It is with-in the cards bios I presume, but no-one have been able to crack that shit yet.

The jews got us this time, i'm afraid.

>To that end, I am excited to announce that our Graphics design team in Munich has achieved 16Gbps data rates in our high speed test environment—another first for memory industry. The left picture shows the data eye opening at 16Gbps based on a critical PRBS pattern sequence, with great timing and voltage margin. The right image below shows stable data timing margin (horizontally) versus data rate (vertically), from our base sort speed of 10Gbps up to an unprecedented 16Gbps. This result is based on measurements on a meaningful sampling size of our mass production G5X silicon – not theoretical simulation data.

I've made a terrible mistake. I can't quite recall all the specifics, but long story short I fucked up my desktop pc by hooking up a laptop hdd and trying to install win10 on it. Partitions (if any) got fucked up and Win10 won't install on them. I'm formating through CMD, 63% right now, but i'm not sure if this is going to work or is it enough for windows to be able to install.

TL;DR: How do i restore my Desktop's HDD to factory-fresh state so i can install Win10?

>>
by not being a retard, this belongs in the stupid questions thread

one of your first mistakes is doing a full, non-quit format because ntfs is shit
the second is not just creating a new mbr/gpt
just use diskpart in cmd, list disk, select disk #, clean disk
then let windows repartition it through the inhstaller since clearly you can't handle this stuff yourself
>>
>>60727677
>just use diskpart in cmd, list disk, select disk #, clean disk
can i do that after the full format? should i cancel the format? 81% now

It really depends on what you want to do, but if you're asking for a first step sort of thing, learn how to use nmap. Zenmap is the same shit with a GUI so you can use that too but nmap is nice to learn first.
