I have two S5s, one with a broken screen, and one that wont charge. Is it possible/how hard is it to combine them into one working phone?
>>60734732
you could sell both and stop being tracked while making a profit
>>60734732
IF they are exactly the same model number you can do it
or just buy a battery for the one that wont charge they are cheap
just move the good battery to the other phone, not hard

Anyone here familiar with GIMP? I made the canvas on My document larger, and the extra space is now transparent. I have no idea how to fill it in. It seems like a pretty simple process.
>not using photoshop
>>60734450
I'm assuming you want to fill it in with a plain color.
Make a new layer, drag it to be bottom layer, select paint bucket tool, select color, dump color on layer, merge other shit down on top of it.
>>60734510
or alternatively when you make a new layer you can just select the white or foreground or background color option.
why does firefox ignore this and still load tabs being opened in bg (middle clicking links)

Was thinking that I'll probably have to create one for myself. My mates makes websites using HTML and he just approaches random businesses that look like they could use a website. Makes pretty good bank.
Basically my question is if you were in my shoes what sort of business would you pursue? My database lecturer said to start making information systems cause that what his students in Ghana do??
>I am poor as fuck and am sick of selling drugs and doing frauds for money.
>>60734350
Is that a DAG?
>>60734350
>cause that what his students in Ghana
yeah, you always want to copy the highly successful people of Ghana

How easy is it to sell iPhones?
I need a dental extraction but I'm too poor, so I'm thinking of getting an iPhone on my installment plan(no credit, sub 500 score) to sell and pay for my extraction.
It'll be T-mobile locked, but I'll keep paying off the phone while using my old spare G4.
>Poor people buying iPhones
What a surprise.
Or instead of going through that headache with the iPhone payment plan, just ask your dentist for a payment plan there.

Inb4 "this computer isn't ancient at all, back in '84 i used a vextrex 4000 and programmed it in binary"

One 21:9 monitor or two 16:9 monitors?
Depends on use case:
Programming and productivity is objectively better on 2 1080's.
Media consumption and gaming is far better on 21:9
Also 2 1080's is reasonably budget friendly.
>>60731957
Came here to say exactly this.
Also, with multiple separare screens you can rotate one or more of them to fit your needs.
>>60731957
>Media consumption and gaming is far better on 21:9
gaming maybe, but media? is there a lot of 21:9 content?
I say 2 16:9 because you can have media/games on one and browse on the other.

What's the solution to the major corporate search engines like Google and Bing?
>>60730834
this inspired me to check all the classics and Lycos.com apparently still exists.
>>60730858
The results aren't too bad
General search is too hard to accomplish and there's no incentive for anyone to try it independently because Google already works well enough and people don't care that they harvest their personal information across the web

I have a Windows 10 machine but you are pretty much along for the ride you don't steer this.
Looking for a sturdy MicroUSB cord, any recommendations? Bonus points if it's braided/shielded.
>>60730413
Anker is pretty good IMO.
>>60730413
just don't buy the cheapest braided ones
I bought two chink ones and the only good thing they were for was syncing data.
also it broke near the connector after a week
if it's for charging then just get a proper thick cable that claims to carry high currents.
>>60730798
Really? the cheap ones i buy work fine for power(albeit at the lowest rate possible. Maybe 250mah?) but dont give data.
How do you guys feel about extended guarantees on electronics? Are hey worth it or a scam?
>>60730372
Some credit cards offer free extended warranties on electronics.
>>60730372
Depends on the item and how much you'll be relying on it. High-end laptop, smartphone, or camera I would say yes, but only if the company selling the extended warranty had a good record of living up to their end of the bargain.
no. if they have confidence in their product they'll offer you a free warranty. many memory manufacturers offer lifetime warranties.
I wouldn't buy a TV or equally large purchase unless it came with 5 years repair/replace as standard.
