shit components, Mr Pajeet. Pick the same components and then smash your computer because Apple outsmarted you... again.
> hey pekka, we should make a music phone
> yeah we should, but all new phones should have longer battery life and be smaller than the old ones, if we make a music phone there is no why in perkele it can get 13 days of battery life and be smaller than 7 cm
> let's create a music dongle, music phones will always be for geeks anyway, it's not like there exist a music store where normies can buy music hahaha
A few years later: Steve Jobs invents a music phone with a half day battery three times the size of a Nokia and Nokia basically cease to exist
Meanwhile at Apple today: hurr durr thinner, touch bar is cool so no 15 inch with function keys for you
Was Apple literally great because of Steve Jobs?
Will Apple just walk into the same traps as Nokia did?

probably. with the new macbook, they've proved to the world they're barely clinging onto their relevance. for fuck's sake, they managed to downgrade the hardware and the most they brought to the table was a poorly-supported gimmick.
something's going to come along to sway the general public in the next few years, and apple will finally die off.
>Was Apple literally great because of Steve Jobs?
Why do you think they begged him to come back after firing him in the 90s?
The man had a keen eye for what was innovative and what would work vs what wasn't and wouldn't.
Tim Cook is just a run-of-the-mill CEO and is running Apple like its just another company, instead of trying to perpetuate their cultist behavior.

>with the new macbook, they've proved to the world they're barely clinging onto their relevance.
Looks like they're improving things. After people panned the new MacBook Pro, Apple came out and said that the new Mac Pro was a mistake and that they are making new professional-grade iMacs, which they previewed today.

The instant they figured out how to get rid of ChromeOS I was running Ubuntu and never looked back. Even when I was using ChromeOS, Firefox was my browser.
>>60761951
this desu
I have no idea why anyone would want to run chrome OS honestly when Ubuntu and other more fleshed out distros exist.

How the hell did you run Firefox on Chrome OS? Android app?
I'm shopping for a laptop that will be good for work/college.

Don't worry my friend. We're already in.
First and foremost i dislike a lot of nas set ups, especially the overpriced prebuilt ones.
However I think I need a nas. My main reason is noise; 3 hard drives always running makes my computer loud as hell, especially when i have a noctua cpu cooler and quiet gpu cooler, it makes it disproportional. Secondly Of course is the server aspect of it. Sure i can run a ftp server over my lan but that means my computer needs to be on 24/7 which brings me to my third point of power. I have a 8350 7970 setup so its tdp is rated at 500w max or something. Not exactly cheap to run when the idle is quite high.
So I ask, whats the best way to set up a nas for 4 hard drives (going to add a 4th). I looked into pis and theyre not exactly powerful enough nor are their transfer speeds good (100Mbs iirc). Main points gotta be price (cost and running cost) and silence. These dedicated nas devices seem to cost $500 for the low end 4 bay versions. Of course this is to store in a different room and run at all times.
nas is a meme

its just a small scale file server really
Do you run Windows or Linux? No experience with windows but setting up NFS sharing on Linux is piss easy.
