Hey guys.
I never post on /g/, but I need to ask you something today.
I wanna buy a GTX 1070, is it a good GPU ?
But I was wondering some things first : What other components of my PC should I change ?
Pic related. I built this rig in 2013 iirc, but I've never updated a rig.
Do I have to change my RAM ? My alimentation ? Please tell me what I should do before buying a 1070. Thanks.

A 1070 will certainly be a good upgrade, the rest of your rig is good enough for at least another 2 years imo. Another 8gigs of ram will noticeable improve the performance of your pc too, maybe make that your next upgrade.

GTX 1070 user here:
It is a phenomenal GPU but it runs VERY hot. I recommend utilizing Afterburner.
Honestly though: I am not convinced that spending 400 dollars was worth it. I figure I could have gotten comparable performance for less money.

Man i dunno if there is a way to prove anyone doesn't log you. The only way to be sure is to run your own server and never leave the server room or else someone might tamper with your setup. I think decentralized internet services is what we need.

It is not a meme technology. The thing that ruins blueray is sony licensing. Without that it would be the same cost as dvds while being significantly bigger. And there are still plenty of areas where optical technology is still relevant and useful.

Hey /g/, I'm looking for a new phone.
Currently, I am using the Samsung Convoy 3 (a flip phone with an idle battery life of 459 hours)
I need something that is at least comparable.
I was considering the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2, but it's battery life is only 318 hours =-/

Although the Galaxy Folder 2 IS a smartphone AND flip phone, it does NOT need to be a smartphone, as long as it does basic calls/texts, has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and can play most common media files (including for ringtones).

Wait, If I create a .php file which contains the username and password of a mysql databas and then put that same file on a webserver, users accessing that file in their web browser won't be able to see that login data? So all they can see is stuff I ECHO at them?
