will anime become more intertwined with technology in the coming years? every generation, it seems to become more socially acceptable. steam is now full of weeb games, and so on
>>60904513
Yes, definitely.
anime will never become fully socially acceptable in the west
this is a good thing
you don't want the west to influence anime like they've already attempted to do on multiple occasions.
The creator of girls und panzer was insulted during an interview with BBC over how sexualized the girls are.
>>60904996
it's definitely not a good thing, but i don't think it can be stopped
I want to program the lights on the laptop to match what is being displayed in the background. Does anybody have any experience with this that could help me out?
>>60732887
More specifically, is it possible to send data to the keyboard itself to change the lighting without fucking it up completely?
I'm trying to pull data off of an old LG VX6000. There's a good chance the thing has been bricked after being exposed to heat back in the day, but I'm willing to spend some money to get some memories back.
I have a USB data cord, and I tried bitpim for data, but I think the battery is just cashed out. Anything I can pull out of one of these phones that stores data more safely?
Should I dualboot OpenSuSe? If so how do I prevent fucking up my windows partition?
>>60732691
just run it in a vm

Just don't fuck it up. It should just werk
Hey guys. I'm going to help my friend build a computer. He only has 5-600 dollars. I had a build set up, but it has somewhat outdated parts. I know that for lower end PC's you need to have the latest and greatest parts. Please let me know what I should do, and if someone is kind enough to make me a PCPartPicker, it would be greatly appreciated. I basically need a CPU and a GPU. Thanks.

Looking to purchase a 70" tv. Not interested in Smart TV capabilities necessarily because there is little to no internet access in the area of placement. Looking for good picture and price.

[I have this trace route at hand, and the following conditions.](http://imgur.com/yVeRGIb) All links between the endpoints each have a capacity of 1 Gbps, each router has infinite processing power, and there's little to no traffic in the network. The size of the segments are 1460 bytes + 60 bytes with TCP-, IP- and link layer headers. The TCP receive window is static at 65535 bytes. What's the largest theoretical data rate for this connection, assuming the values from tracert are accurate?
That's the question posed to me, and I'm at a loss. I've tried my best to search for similar problems, with no luck, nor is there any help to be found in any of my textbooks. The answer is supposed to come out as ~65 Mbps, but I have no idea how to get there. Anyone here know the correct approach?

For an East Coast recent college grad with mediocre grades and a couple cool ideas, is it worth it to search for jobs in the Bay Area? Or is that meme overplayed by now, with elusive job prospects for people that aren't pooinloos, women, autistic, or summa cum laude 5.0 GPA honors students?
>>60731673
You can be a brainlet and get a job as long as you're not a complete autist.
>>60731683
Aren't there just tons of people there though? I would think the job market is saturated.

figure out how to write a simple commandline program
then take Cormen's algorithms, start with the easiest stuff and implement everything by yoursefl. google everything as you go, the most basic questions have great explanations on stackoverflow
don't get discouraged, your brain will take time to adapt to the algorithmic way of thinking. things that take a lot of brainpower when you're just starting will get MUCH easier. it doesn't take practice as much as just time
can't think of a better way to start programming

What certifications should I get? Not a collegefag, I read textbooks at work where I do nothing and at home. I can into Python now, and still learning advanced stuff on it for a few more months, I've read all of "Upgrading and Repairing PCs" so I think Comptia A+ looks like a good start.
I wanna do some IT and networking type work, or some Python bitch job if I must, and eventually upgrade to pen testing or data recovery.
Pic related, read the ones on left, working on the ones on right.
