Hey, I'm looking to buy some new speakers. No idea where to start.
I have an old 5.1 system now by my desk, and I feel like it might not be necessary beacuse they are right next to each other. Should I just go for 2 good ones if I'm only gonna use them by my desk?
And are the speakers with a wood case just a hipster meme?
Thanks

Is 2017 the war on adblocking?
this is hilarious
like someone actually gives a shit about loading their garbage site with the level of redundancy and sources on the modern internet
You know what, I'm fine with ads. I'm fine with non-intrusive ads that do not take up web real estate. What I don't like are ads that block the main content or otherwise inconvenient me. Sorry, but I don't want to sign up for your faggy email list. So you can just take that pop up that blocks out the rest of the page and SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS

Hey /g/ I was wondering if anyone would care to take a look at the developers on the ARK team and give their opinion as to whether their names or credentials hold any ground in a solid investment. I came here seeing as this is the most relevant and intelligent board. Thanks :D
https://ark.io/#team
In particular
François-Xavier Thoorens Head of Development
Velislav Valkov Servers and Networking
LĂșcio Rubens Full-Stack Developer
Victor Lins Mobile Developer
Cezar Spatariu Security/Pentesting
Yassine Rachik Info Sys Specialist
Adil Bouzidi Java / C# Dev
Do any of these people seem to be trustworthy within the world of technology aside from the head of development? And even for himself, is what he did particularly noteworthy? Thanks for your time guys :-)
stop shilling the 580x, it's a shitty card and the 1060 is infinitely better. Street shitting amd pajeets
Hey /g/, how are laptop graphics card these days purely on a performance perspective (disregarding price&cost effectiveness)?
I heard from a friend of mine that the mobile version of the GTX 1060 is almost the same as its desktop equivalent, what the hell?
Last I checked (2013 or so) they didn't perform even half as well as desktops. Is nvidia taking the laptop market more seriously than before or something?
They're close, tho a bit behind
In a couple of years they'll be the same
Well they can do VR now. I have a 1060 6GB in my alienware 13 R3 and it is fast. Hot. But fast.
Dat OLED panel.

UserBenchmark puts the 3gb models at +13% performance and 6gb models at +23% performance.
They're obviously closer than they've ever been, but the gap has grown very small, almost to the same difference of reference cards vs. higher-end OC'd cards. It's getting close and depending on your your needs/budget ratio, possibly worth getting.
Do you let a new smartphone charge for 8-12 hours before turning it on?
Doesn't need this anymore.

I think his idea that Intel is going to put actual monetary resources into releasing a CPU just for a tiny handfull of xtreme ln2 overclockers is fucking retarded.
