So i'm thinking about getting some new pieces for my rig but at the same time i feel as though what i want isn't actually needed and all that i really have to do is clean up what i have in here already.
Got an i5-3570k @4ghz as of right now and i keep telling myself if i just get something new and shiny i'll be able to run things i want to at higher settings.(recently got a 1060 brand new) I get the feeling that
the 3570 is possibly too old to be able to keep up with the 1060? I have zero knowledge on these things. At the same time i'm pretty sure if i just apply new thermal paste to the cpu which i haven't in over 5 years
(yes i know wtf am i doing) i'll be able to push the performance even more without overheating like i currently am. Also i think i'm probably due for a new hdd which i've also had for a little over 5 years.
Any ideas of the course of action i should take? Was looking at the i5-7600k or even a Ryzen 5 1600 but again i have no knowledge of what would actually be an upgrade worth spending money on as of right now.

Fuck you. Other than being like 30 years younger and having the height ect. set up properly this is me. Eye problems got me into it about 10 years ago when the first good 1080P screens started to show up, I gamed on one pretty regularly.
The honest truth is once you've done this for a little while you simply never can go back. I laugh so hard inside whenever I see L337 G4M3R shit with 3 horribly placed monitors and all the bezel shit in between. I know you can say all these things about how my monitor is worse, but at least it's one seamless image you fucking invalid.
Currently sitting just over a metre from my 47" samsung "monitor" that cost about $1k 2 years ago. Can't remember the latency but it's fast enough that my ex's super geek brother IT tech couldn't tell nor can I. Using the inboard speakers when not headphoned so way less clutter and spaghetti.

Guys, I have a J6450 HP all-in-one printer purchased a few years ago brand new and the LCD display does not display anything properly anymore.
Unfortunately, the printer is no longer serviced by HP and the only way I could fix it is by removing the LCD but it is well embedded in the printer and hard to reach (if possible at all).
Do you know a way to fix this?

It's an option, but the ultimate one. I just want to render this printer fully functional again, it's an all-in-one it comes with a scanner and a fax. It would be a total waste to throw it away. I was able to reach the screws I will be working on the removal of the LCD screen shortly.

Hi /g/ Not really looking for tech support here everything is running fine, however Id like to learn something if you wouldn't mind enlightening me. I have created this diagram to simplify things. I bought this rig in late 2015 and its been working fine Processor running at about 19-25 degrees celsius at idol and never higher than 50 from what ive observed through speccy. Rig has been running fine with no observable hardware issues other than it occasionally not posting when my specific mouse is plugged into the rig. Im just wondering if this the optimal fan setup? Im wanting to compare it to others and maybe learn a thing or two about cooling.

Is there any way to find what default keyboard a phone uses without having access to that phone? I had a Moto G4 Play and I liked the default keyboard a lot. The phone broke and I now have a different phone and I don't like any of the keyboards I've tried as much. Do any of you know what keyboard the G4 Play uses or how I could find out? Thanks
