Anyone got any ideas to fix this error message? I was getting it last night, computer was fine (internet was working) this morning, and now I'm getting the same problem
I'm running Windows 10, Intel Ethernet Connection(2) l219-V adapter and ASUS Z170-AR motherboard.

install gentoo

Swap the first and last wire of your Ethernet port from the inside (motherboard's side)
I have two separate computer boxes
Is there a way to combine their power somehow so I can play a video game?
>>62450766
Yeah. You take the best parts from both machines and build a new computer with them...
ITT god tier addons
download manager tweak

For how much longer will ublock origin support firefox ESR 52? It's already broken on it
Tree style tabs is the reason I'm bummed about the new Firefox update.
I need to come up with a self-ish contained wireless outdoor security camera solution. I'm not looking for major reliability/security, just something that I can set up and have a local always-on server record.
I would really like to not drill holes into my house to run wires as we are cinderblock built, so I want a WiFi camera. For power ultimately I want it to be solar. Solar doesn't have to be built into the unit, but some tips for a small solar panel setup and an appropriate battery would be handy. I live in Florida so sunshine and outdoor battery reliability is not really a factor.
Has anyone looked into this at all?

If you can't even Google this yourself I would advise against doing it though.

What's a good USB-C host OTG cable that is made properly (spec compliant) and is cheap?
I don't want to try my luck with chink shit, because I've been chinked too many times.
I'm using the Belkin cable, pretty sure it's spec compliant but it works for me at least

This one?

Also, which phone?
Does USB C even need a special host/otg adapter (like micro B) or should any work?
If I wanna store comics in the cloud, is that safe or is that asking to for legal shit?
>comics
depends on what kind of porn you're talking about
>the cloud
depends on whose computer you're talking about
password protected rar
why would you?
build a second cheap PC and store them there, you can stream the contents to any other pc even over a shitty connection. set up an sFTP server and you are set.
unless you live in some shit country like the US where ISPs get away with blocking that kind of usage.
in that case just rent a cheap server... 15$ a month buys you enough of a server anywhere in the world. just don't be retarded and don't rent shit off google or amazon.
what happens to the fuchsia os? What's google's end game? Is this new os will replace java with kotlin?

It gets forked into a /g/ acceptable distribution.

/g/ doesn't accept anything if it is not autistic enough..

Welp at least winter is cuming.

this shouldn't be normal
>>62448771
The i7-7700 non-K is only 65 watts. And they were idling at desktop I assume. It's probable the AC was just broken and running anyway.
>Visit website on mobile
>Requires you to login
>Request desktop version
>Carry on like normal and browse the website fully
I've only seen the reverse case, newspapers have a paywall on desktop but nothing on mobile.
> mobile site says you can't access it without installing the app
> you can access it perfectly normally on a desktop

I should really change the watermark on that. It's not accurate enough for proper spreading.

My xbox controllers cable broke right at the base (1). Would it cause problems if i removed the ferrite choke? (2)
No.
>>62448373
not unless you live withing 1/2mile of a ham radio operator.
Why do controllers even need ferrite anyway?
Instead of shitting up this board with my questions, is there a website or tutorial I could read online that has a lot of the computer basics?
Not for hardware or software programming necessarily. I'm more interested in recommendations for what OS to run and things I should install for faster browser and download speeds. And any other basic tips for how to retain my privacy while online. Would it be weird to post an ad on craiglist and just pay some /g/uy to show me how to do these things in person?
In return, have a potato-quality picture of my doggo being offered a mouse.

Suck my cock, dude.
>>62448268
Thanks bro.
>>62448241
start opening up your pc and learning about hardware, watch videos.
As for OS try Linux out in a VM and see if you like it's ecosystem.
For privacy just check here or whatever paranoid place for advice.
