I feels like old times

Hi /g/
Some time ago I thought I was cool and decided to protect my BIOS with an admin password. Problem is, I forget it. After some searches, I found that my only hope was to open my computer and remove CMOS for some minutes. And so I did. Problem is, I just can't see a CMOS in my motherboard. Can someone help me locating it?

Is it possible that opening pdf file in your browser from online site like ie. google drive can exploit your browser?

Is FF/Chrome secure against such attacks?

I need a working program to recover a PDF and Word file which I deleted from downloads and recovery bin.
A text file should be easier to recover than anything else, right? right, /g/?

Discussion and help please.

>A text file should be easier to recover than anything else, right? right, /g/?
no, text files are hard because they're headerless/magicless, there's no easy way to tell where the beginning and end of a text file is, or if it's a separate file and not just part of something else
good thing pdf's and word documents aren't text files

flash is almost impossible to recover from as the controller is the only device that knows where the data is stored. You need to manually recover it from the flash of get controller specific recovery tools.

Hard drives are still okay, they just delete the link to the files. you can scan the area and recover as long as the sector hasn't been over written

People outside the Greater China region and exposed all the time to the American narrative of everything and their mentality of "us good, them evil" perpetuated by CNN/Associated Press et al. have no idea of how great the Chinese Internet is.

Take Baidu as an example. It's so much full of win.

Look up ANY song, bang.

Look up ANY movie, bing bing.

One click transfer to your personal 2TB free account. One touch on your phone or tablet to start downloading or streaming it. Bitcoin payments accepted if you need even more storage/services.

The search results are great, by the way. Yeah, you can criticize the government openly, but hell, I'd rather take this completely safe, Baidu-enabled country than any "Western democracy" where any idiot's vote supposedly count as much as the most intelligent individual, things are actually run by an oligarchy, you can be shot any time on the street or school, and you can be put in jail for downloading stuff.

Me and my students came up with a bunch of quotes. They now need to be sorted by favourite.

Is there a web application out there where I can fill in these quotes, and then send a link to my students where they can sort it in an order?

Preferably with some security so they can only do it once.

You mean everybody needs to vote and choose the best quote?
If so, something like strawpoll com or surveymonkey com can help you.
Also, have a look at google documents, maybe you can do something useful with it too.
>>
>>60924439
I see that SurveyMonkey has a sorting feature.
Many thanks :)
