Why in God's name would you buy an R9 Fury for €320?
I think I just found a way to make maximum €€€

>I think I just found a way to make maximum €€€
wat
>>60980499
Because it performs close to a GTX 1070 for less money?
>>60980577
Buy them on classified advertisements websites for around €250 then flip it back on eBay
>>60980605
"close" is an overstatement, especially if you're comparing two overclocked cards.
Is it worth the hype?
ios 11 is going to be much better than thisd

what?
install gentoo.
Tried that the first time I tried to install gentoo.
I think that was between selecting kernel profiles then updating.
Tip: don't update until you are about to exit the chroot.
>>60980199
ya I selected the desktop profile and then ran the command

Why aren't more people mining?
I am making $4.04 a day just by leaving my computer on idle. Good luck trying to get ur hands on a decent performance GPU because the Chinese bought out a majority of them. I should have well over $120 by the end of the month. :)
Do you pay for your own electricity?
>>60980433
No, mom pays for that, so I get it for free.
Do you mine? And if you do, what do you mine?
I actually plan to start mining ETC, just searching for pools with good Mh/.
If you can't solo mine it and get a few blocks a day with as few as 2 cards it really isn't worth your time. You're never going to make it mining ETH, ETC or LTC at this point in time. You might have a chance with them after the inevitable price correction
>>60979783
>Do you mine?
Yes.
>what do you mine?
Gold.
I started mining ETH just for fun recently, I'll probably only do it until I can cash out cause I don't wanna break my already old gpu
Post your personal windows checklist if you have one and use windows

-use professional end-user software
-enjoy the latest games
-work and be friends with people sharing all kinds of files without any problems
-buy any accessory or new piece of hardware and expect it to work perfectly once attached
-use my computer only for work and fun, and not as an end in itself
So what happens if I connect the two?
Has anyone ever tried it?
>>60979499
both looses charge.
>>60979499
You will short both very quickly.
It is incredibly stupid as even discharged batteries
can give of quite a bit of energy.

Alright /g/, im going to college and I need to know.
http://www.strawpoll.me/13233675
why buy a MBP when you could put the money towards a Grom?
MBP 13 is god-tier hardware, don't fall for the ThinkPad meme.

*BLEEP-BLOOP-BLOOP-BLEE*
Anyone knows where the trope that computers make blooping sounds while processing information (as in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tAgYBfAOF4) come from? Modern computers -starting from the Personal PCs- certainly don't do it, and older ones most of the times had either light bulbs or a printer to relay information.
maybe it was just some way to audially show represent the switching off lights?

Probably movies.
I bet they just wanted a way to convey to the audience that something was happening.
Could be wrong though.

hey /g/ ,
i've been using eclipse for a while and some of my peers are definitely trying to meme me into using intellij since its free for me for now (graduating in about 2 years).
wtf is so wrong with eclipse? people say its overkill for an java ide but i think it works just fine.
Should i stay with eclipse or just listen to the fucking trolls?
>>60979186
eclipse is good when you get past its utterly shitty ux. if you're already proficient in it then you don't have to switch
>>60979235
yeah well, im not an eclipse pro and pretty far from it actually so its still time to switch
>>60979292
then you should definitely give intellij a go
