If a girls social media is on public. is it fair game to have their pictures saved.
Not talking about if you follow them or are their friend on it. but if their whole profile is on public
Of course it's fair game. Masturbate to them as much as you want, dude.

This is a sphere where the concept of "fair game" doesn't apply, you will be judged and derided arbitrarily for doing this sort of thing and no amount of arguing about how it makes logical sense that what you did is "fair" will save you.
Also, telling us this to convince yourself that it's true won't make Sally unblock you.

Holy fuck!
The new i9 series are just overclocked i7s with huge power consumption and heating issues.
How the fuck could Intel think this was a good idea?
>"I didn’t believe it at first, but the Core i9-7900X is using more than 70 watts additional power than the Core i7-6950X!"
>"But woe, if you have all the cores really work out properly! With Prime95 and Luxrender on all cores for the Core i9-7900X, we have determined absolute peak values for the power consumption. The Core i9-7900X achieves remarkable 48% more performance in the render score (Luxrender, console), but also takes up 58% more of the electrical power! This is almost the famous blue breaking bar."
>The system ran stable with 1.4 Vcore in 10 runs and the CPU took an average of 261 watts. Single peaks, however, were load-dependent at up to 293 watts, which is very close to the limit. A test carried out at 4.8 GHz with 20 instances of a shading-all-year calculation for a complex photovoltaic roof system including a yield calculation allowed the power consumption to rise to 335 watts. When starting Prime95 without AVX limitation then switched off the mainboard. The last, still logged value was 364 watts."
>"The real reason is Intel's incomprehensible fun brake in the form of unsuitable (but probably much cheaper) heat transfer paste instead of a sensible solder."
>"Up to 65 ° C Tcore with a heat spreader temperature of approx. 24 ° C results in a delta of more than 40 ° C. We reached this value with a power loss of just under 230 watts. As soon as you move above the 300-watt limit, which can be reached even with simple rendering programs from 4.6 or 4.7 GHz and the necessary voltages (depending on the chip quality), the chiller is hardly anything. At the maximum values of 300 watts reached by us the CPU is already permanently thermal limit of 100 ° C, shortly thereafter comes to the consequential shutdown."

Closed loop liquid nitrogen coolers when?
Hell, why don't we just stick the whole thing into a freezer at this point?
Man, just looked at the benchmarks.
>i9-7900 does 10% better than a i7-6950X
>base clock of 3.3GHz compared to 3.0GHz with the 6950
It's literally a 6950X with an overclock hahaha what the fuck
>Ryzen 7 or i7 7700k now
>Wait for Coffeelake 6 Core 4.0GHz+ mainstream platform to come out
Want to build a new rig but what do?
>>60986289
Ryzen unless you're getting a 1080Ti.
The 7700k does get 5% better framerates (with increased stuttering though) on a few games but you won't ever see those framerates without a super high end card anyway.
>>60986289
Just wait. It's never good to buy when your options are between new first gen processors or probably the last processor of currently ending gen sockets.
It's not everyday I feel like this but sometimes I envy you guys for having so much of that esoteric information in regards to hardware and programming.
It's a nice summer and I'm done with community college but I spend all my time wage slaving away instead of learning more. Anybody want to teach me something nifty? Just throw some goddamn knowledge my way.

>realize that if I don't back up everything it's all going to be lost
>paranoia that leaving those backed up drives in a safe somewhere, they'll die anyway
Everything will be lost in time. All those archives of music and videos and images gone. How do you deal with it /g/? Is there anyway to stop the decaying of data or are is it futile just hoping to prolong the inevitable?
buying more storage goy
You're going to die and the data won't mean anything anyway.
Even if it's a record of millions of people dying painfully, it'll be lost like a grain of sand in the desert.

Only backup what you truly will miss when it is gone.
Delete a single song, movie, or image from your vast collection.
See if you notice it any time in the next month.
Keep only what you find to be the best, and let the rest fall to the wayside.
Why aren't you building a personal robot with a BeagleBone Blue control board right now?

Strix GTX 1080
MSI X370 titanium mobo.
EK Supremacy evo cpu block
EK block for the GTX.
360 slim rad
Corsair crystal 460x case.
not really looked into water cooled builds, what's wrong with soft tubing?
nothing wrong with soft but why is the tank thing back there when it can be down here anon
>>60986104
My Res is a lot bigger than that, only had that spot to put it... the 460x is WAY too small.
Plus I prefer a seperate res / pump, in case of pump failure makes replacement a lot cheaper / easier.

This is a joint project between me and another /g/ user to replicate someone's homescreen and distribute it freely. If you like what you see, follow the guide below to set it up on your phone.

HOMESCREEN DEPENDENCIES
>Nova Launcher free version
>KLWP paid version (paid required to import configurations, it's ~$3 USD)
! VERY IMPORTANT !
You MUST set a Nova launcher gesture to access your app drawer. I use a two-finger upward swipe to open it, but you should use what's comfortable and supported by your touchscreen.
DO THIS BEFORE PROCEEDING
>Nova Settings -> Gestures & inputs -> assign a gesture to app drawer
DO THIS BEFORE PROCEEDING
SETTINGS TO MAXIMIZE COSMETICS
This is centered around the visible desktop only. Customizing your app drawer is beyond the scope of this guide.
Remove homescreen icons
Eliminate black bars (notification bar and navigation bar) at top and bottom of screen
>Nova Settings -> Look & feel -> Notification Bar -> Show notification bar (toggle off)
Remove dock
>Nova Settings -> Dock -> Top right corner of screen (toggle off)
NOTES
I've noticed an increase in battery consumption while the KLWP app is running, remember to kill it when you're finished with configurations.
Too long of a string in the music fields (just title?) will break spacing for the rest of the homescreen until the song is changed. This can be solved by listening to music with titles that are not too long and probably sound better anyway
For reference, this is the homescreen we were trying to copy

HR at a small-medium /g/ company asks me for salary expectations for a junior firmware position in southern california. Average is 65k. Should i say 65k, or should i provide a range? 60-65k? 65-70k?
In southern California that's like minimum wage.
>>60985524
Really? Everyone is actually pretty cool at the company. It is a junior position and i did just graduate. Definitely looking to grow within the company, that comes with pay raises right?
>>60985591
I'm not saying don't take it, but depending upon the area your rent may be 3-4k.
I have been thinking of getting a 10" tablet, mainly for video watching, secondary for games like hearthstone, yugioh duel generation.
The battery should last for atleast 4 hour video watching. SD card slot is needed, except if it has 128GB or more internal storage.
I tried to look around places like aliexpress, but the cheap ones are nameless product, so i am not sure if i should try them.
Limit is:$250
Any suggestion or other sites?
>>60985471
I suggest you do not buy a tablet because they are shitty oversized phones that don't fit in your pocket.
>>60985568
Well i need that during long travel. Not as a side phone or something.
>>60985568

/g/ is the wrong place to ask about tablets as it's frequented by Asperger's Syndrome sufferers who enjoy tinkering obsessively with computers.
Tablets don't really provide an opportunity for tinkering, as they provide slick, secure and reliable access to useful software applications (or "apps") without any complications, so naturally /g/ can't see the point of them.
Furthermore, /g/ posters tend to have oversized phones, which makes possession of a tablet even more pointless in their eyes. The concept of a book-sized device that you can use on train, bus or airplane without having to squint at has no merit to them since they very rarely travel anywhere.
If pushed, /g/ users may grudgingly recommend Windows tablets, as they have a "real" operating system. The fact that Windows is designed for computers with keyboards and mice, and is a terrible touch OS with barely any touch-optimised software, means that these "tablets" are really laptops without keyboards, running software designed for desktops.
Finally, you will hear mention of the Nexus 7 2013. A three year old device with poor build quality and no SD card slot. This is because a few /g/ residents dabbled with the device when it was new and exciting, and have refused to move on with the times.
