Can some please help me? I can't post this in worksafe because of it's inappropriate content. This morning, I started getting some really strange YouTube advertisements, like pornography and weird Russian shit. Everytime I open a new tab, I am redirected to this wierd blank page. I don't think I've downloaded anything malicious. Is this because of adblock? Please help me, I am pretty vanilla with computers.

What do you do that makes working with technology/IT fun?
I've been working in IT for the last 10 years, mainly user support. I used to be up on the newest technologies and used to toy around with stuff that caught my interest. The last thing I did that I enjoyed was modchipping my original Xbox, so it's been awhile since I tinkered around for the hell of it. It felt like a big accomplishment taking something I didn't know how to do and figure it out; it was fun. Now though, I lack the drive to do anything like the sort. I tried my hand at programming, but couldn't stay interested enough to keep going. I got the basics down, but had a hard time trying to make anything from scratch.
So what makes you really enjoy IT? Any tips for someone thats lost their passion for it? I'm leaning towards getting a Pi and seeing what's available out there for it in the developer communities.
