I'm planning to sink some money I to a nice RPGtable.
Are there any tables with an integrated screen like pic related on the market for a good price?
If I were to build one on my own, what features would be most necessary in the monitor/tv/whatever?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qh9cOlVFItQ
MS pixel sense has nearly everything you need.
Except, it doesn't exist (anymore). The project got axed.
I'm fairly sure making your own will probably be your best bet
Not really. I have a group of friends in Germany that own a pinball arcade and they're planning to get their own one, given they're not shit at programming and hardware.
One of them told me they're gonna get a Raspberry Pi and basically put it in a cocktail table, with original controllers, too, since they have those as well.
Goddamn I miss that Atari 2600 controller.
How long would it take to mine an 8 character tripcode on r9 380?

Okay /g/, the 2017 Summer Cup is coming and it's time to bring our team roster poll up to date and reflect /h/ as it is now. I am the current manager for the team.
Our previous manager OMP never ran roster polls but I intend to change /g/'s historical board interaction status.
Please vote on our roster poll here : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfHxqBQnjtyy-cCjLmKjUg6r2WdP8-wTMefx6OahEVKcvBg0A/viewform
>"What is this"
The 4CC is a cometition run on modified versions of PES between different 4chan
boards. For details please check the wiki here https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/Main_Page
There are two seasons are a year with a Winter and a Summer Elite Cup.
The /g/ team will soon be celebrating its 5th anniversary and is competing in the 2017 Summer Cup in July/August. An example of one of our matches can be found here

Maybe it's not absurdly simple enough.
Windows 10 constantly rapes HDD, without allowing it any rest. Why?
>>61092779
This was one of the reasons I moved from Windows, which seems to extensively use an HDD even when idle, to Linux, which cares of the disk, not letting it be too exhausted.
>>61092779
How else can they exfiltrate your data, silly.
>Didn't you read the EULA?
>>61092779
Disable that superfetch shit
For some reason almost everyone I know who upgraded to win 10 was bitching about it super slow. And what do you know, superfetch is enabled by default for some fucking reason.
- really decent development pace
- finally really usable without wasting too much time configuring
- still a comparably tiny home computer marketshare so things don't get too exploited for normie shit yet
- therefore also still great system security for PCs since windows is still more interesting for bad guys
I doubt it will get more comfy than this, ever. This is peak comfy right the fuck now
I'd say this is comparable to 2005 internet at the moment in terms of comfyness and practicality. Shortly before normies ruined everything.
>>61092762
This. Year of the Linux desktop will inevitably kill Linux all together.
>>61092934
Luckily, 'year of the linux desktop' will never happen.
>Shortly before AMP became a thing, Google announced that they will begin penalizing websites that did not render fast on mobile devices.
>>61092683
Who the fuck cares? So what if shitty sites are penalized for having 9000 fucking scripts running in the background?
>Shortly before AMP became a thing, Google announced that they will begin penalizing websites that did not render fast on mobile devices.
There is nothing wrong with this. The free market is at play improving the internet.
>>61092716
>>61092717
This means that amp sites are ranked before them because google caches and serves them.

Is /g/ filled with software architects who make loads of money and cringe at people like myself, or are those guys just bitter and can barely stitch together bits of code they found on stackoverflow?
Don't listen to the bitter idiots. They're a vocal minority here and go from thread to thread trying to derail the discussion with their rather useless opinions.
Everyone starts from somewhere and PHP is just as good as anything else. You need to learn the basics from somewhere. Also lots of companies use PHP so there's plenty of comfy well paying work available. I personally am not a fan of the language but then again, I write mainly back-end stuff using JavaScript which some people loathe, sometimes even with a reason. However it's good enough for our use case of thousands of requests per second and fun to develop.
Just do stuff that you like and try to learn something every day.

Thank you for the encouragement. I just can't help but feel that I'm lagging behind especially considering how younger people at work are far more qualified than I am. I'm also sort of afraid of stagnating or becoming a so-called "expert beginner" especially since I was put in charge of a project. It's hard to estimate yourself objectively.
99% of the people on this board are autistic European people who don't have a dime to their name. My advice: stop coming to this board. To find any useful information you need to sort through the bullshit.
If you want proof, go to any battle station thread at any time during the day. Literally all disgusting, poor mongoloids who live with their parents.
I have a degree in IT and I got a job here in the U.S. making six-figures, and I probably know less than most of the autistic spergs who pollute this board, the difference is I actually know how to speak to people and not come off as an inbred during a job interview. You'll be just fine.

I need some help /g/.
I fucked up by not scanning a torrent a couple months ago and got a virus that took control of my steam. Almost lost my account information and my paypal was connected to it. I was able to lock it down befofe any damage could be done (besides losing a couple old TF2 items).
I virus scanned my PC daily since then, only had threats on the day that shit happened (I've been using Malwarebytes and Windows Defender). The main thing the virus did was close out of my steam so I couldn't interfere with it.
I bought one game this summer sale and they took out $1500 from my bank through my PayPal (I was able to dispute the charges and it's all ok now) but I'm still nervous about this fucking virus since I've installed a few more antivirus software and none of them are saying there are any threats. I've reinstalled Steam 7 times since the first incident.
Yes, I know I'm retarded, but what the fuck do I do /g/?
>>61092339
Reformat your hard drive and then reinstall Windows
What virus
Physically discard your hard drive, buy a new one, and reinstall Windows. Certain NSA-derived exploits can infect drive firmware.
Was Cook wrong to fire him?
Anyway, watch this amazing vid on birth of iPhone:

>>61092292
Cook probably fired him because he didn't like the way that Forstall wanted to be paid for his dick sucking or someshit.
Homos, like women, are not rational and are not good picks for CEO.
>>61092292
Scott was firee? why????
>>61092381
I think he was fired becuse he was competition for Cook and a threat.
Hey /g/ I tried Debian with Gnome but it lacks a lot of features: a button to minimize the window, can't see other programs without clicking on "activities", folders being mixed with files in Nautilus... and non if this is apparently tweakable.
My question is: should I install KDE / XFCE and will it fix those problems?
I want a desktop manager that provides features, not hides them.
try xfce first, it has all those things and also doesn't try to fistfuck you into the only right way of using it
>>61092257
you could also just use a different window manager.
>>61092257
