Last night when I got bored of shitposting I started browsing wiki.installgentoo. One link led to another and I was on a website hosted on neocities, made by someone from /g/ or /tech/. There I saw a video that showed how win10 sends your screenshots to microsoft servers. That actually spooked me since I have a lot of things on my PC that I want (((no one))) else to see unless I show it to them myself on my PC. I am literally too scared to turn on my PC now. What should I do now?

You actually believed that shit? You're dumber than a sack of bricks.
>>61138257
Thats right goy! Windows 10 is not a botnet you should continue using it, dont you even dare think about switching to linux!
Explain me in 10 sec why swiftkey is shit?

Is Ryzen Pro botnet?
http://www.anandtech.com/show/11591/amd-launches-ryzen-pro-cpus-enhanced-security-longer-warranty-better-quality
>>61137872
Yes, everything is botnet.
>>61137872
Probably. But at least it has the ability to encrypt your memory content.
Anything with remote management features is a botnet.
tl;dr any portable workstation, any OEM workstation, practically anything that's not targeted at gamers

my old case

Nice, looks much better.
This is my computer. I have a [email protected], 3600mhz cl16 ram, and a 980ti running at 1500mhz. I regret not buying tempered glass but I still like the way my computer looks so I'm not sure if I'm going to spend the $50 to get a glass panel from phanteks for my case or just buy a new case.
>>61137794
shit, my bad. I'm not OP. That's a picture I had of the old case but now have a new case but no picture of it (at least I don't think so).

Resistance is futile

I'm guessing that those colours are brown, blue, orange and gold. According to this chart (https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/textbook/reference/chpt-2/resistor-color-codes/) the resistor would be 16 kilo-Ohms with +/- 5% tolerance.
If it was brown-black-orange-gold, it would be 10 kilo-Ohms with +/- 5% tolerance.
Is there anything like F@H that actually benefits you in any way?
>>61137353
Mining.
>>61137353
buttcoin mining
Well if you ever get cancer then F@H would have benefited you.
What is the superior compression algorithm?
The most famous ones are of course the zip and rar, but zip is dead and done for any professional work, since it was designed back when computers had 64KB of ram and is now outdated as hell.
So what should a neckbeard use to archive his millions of text files images and other stuff today if he wants to keep up with the times?
LZMA2 probs
>>61137124
Probably, which means you could just use 7zip, as .7z uses LZMA
Electro optical attenuators or FET are the way to go.

If you want help:
>State the budget for your build (and country if not the USA).
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate.
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?
CPUs:
>G4560 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R5 1400 - if you can't afford better or specifically need 8 threads but not a very powerful CPU
>R5 1500x - Buy the 1600 instead
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; Get a 1600x if you don't OC
>i7-7700k - Only for 144hz
>R7/Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/mixed use; Not required for just gaming.
GPUs:
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>RX 560 and GTX 1050Ti - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games
>RX570 - 1080p@60hz at high, running most maxed older games at 144+hz.
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@60hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; Go for the RX580 if you can.
>GTX 1070 - 1080p@144hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p.
>GTX 1080 Ti - 1440p@144 hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games; You're kind of going overboard with this one.
>AMD GPUs are suffering a lack of stock and Nvidia a rise in price thanks to miners
RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen benefits from high speed RAM
General:
>ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
>Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
>NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
>The Ryzen lineup comes with exceptionally good stock coolers. (with the exception of the 1600X) consider using them over any sub 35USD cooler.
So the only viable option at the moment are overpriced or shit gpus?
hard drives were a mistake
i got 4x3.5 in my Fractal Design Define R5 and holy shit are they noisy. Spinning noise mostly, but more importantly all the vibrations in there cause horribly loud and irregular buzzing noises that will drive you crazy.
Granted, it's two specific old hard drives that are causing this (8 years old drives), but still.
Once i have enough money to do so, i'm going 100% SSD
>>61137062
Did you mount them proper? My HDD is the last thing I would complain about. Everything else is louder.
