Hai /g/.
I have an old PC that I built in 2012. It has an i3 2120 and a HD6870. Its important to mention the i3 has temp issues and probably needs new thermal paste.
I bought PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds, but I only get around 1 frame every 2 seconds. Now the game is very unoptimized still, and is very CPU intensive. I was looking at buying a GTX1050Ti, but I dont know if that would fix the issue. Could my CPU be throttling? Any other people playing with an old i3?

Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with exceptionally good stock coolers. (with the exception of the 1600X) consider using them over any sub 35USD cooler.

Yes, yes you do. Also the past clearly states Ryzen benefits from faster memory. Try 3000 or even 3200Mhz, Ryzen was so much worse than Intel alternatives when reviewed on broken mobos that couldn't hit 3ghz.
In my opinion any cheap tp-link card will do and then if you need better range you can start toying with adding better antennas.

How do you backup your files and anime /g/?
Its been a while since my last hard drive died and i lost things. I can feel it on the horozion. I copied stuff to a external hard drive once and when i plugged the drive back in (WD black) it wouldn't spin up...
How do you backup things and make sure they coppied 100% i dont trust windows to not lose bits of files and corrupt everything...
