I've completely disabled all Windows 10 crap with Shutup10.
Am I safe from 0 day attacks and shit if my only antivirus is Common Sense 2018?

>I've completely disabled all Windows 10 crap
>>61251848
Yeah, "completely".
>>61251842
Fuck off, retard memer.
Me and my friend had paint. Me and my friend had little skill. Me and my friend now have custom cases.
I painted your mom. Want to guess what color?
>>61251787

>installing things on Windows:
run exe and follow steps
>installing things on Unix
search Google for the commands to pull from repos
add repositories to your sources because it couldn't be found
run commands given by old threads
commands not compatible with your distro
search for official wiki and find 25 step guide
shit loads of dependencies installed
when it comes to uninstalling you're left with random as fuck packages everywhere
Awful design.
Unix is dead, buddy, try again.
>>61251666
More like
>installing things on Windows:
download exe from a random site
run it, click yes on admin prompt
click next like 6 times
make sure to uncheck boxes trying to install malware and advertising shit
>installing things on Linux:
type sudo package_manager install application
enter password, done
or
open software gui (gnome software, ubuntu store, whatever)
search software
click install
>>61251666
I can say mean things about your OS, too, Satan.
>Download executable from shitty malware ridden software download site.
>Can barely trust the exe but run it anyway
>Double click it, asks for admin permission
>Click yes, and hit next next next
>Watch for toolbars & adware
>Repeat step one by one for various programs
>Oops. missed one.
>Remove shitty toolbar from chrome and set SE back to google
>New program pops up ads in the corner while you wrestle with your browser, trying to push their "pro" service.
>Slog through the ads to use program
>Accomplish task, uninstall programs one by one and close exit surveys.
>The last one opens a web page begging you not to remove it
>A bunch of shitty registry junk, dead folders, and undeletable executables left over which you need more third party shit to kill.
If /g/ can tell me what this data represents, I will be SERIOUSLY impressed.
C235DE24D239E03CC8E377C604FCA67B
No, it's not a hash.
my gut tells me its some kind of uuid, probably for a disk?
I'm pretty sure it represents some kind of data
it's that dvdcss thingydoo rite?
Acer xr342ck or ASUS mx34vq?
basically IPS LG panel vs Samsung SVA panel and 75z vs 100hz.
They are both around the same price, but the Acer has VESA and sum cool LED's on the bottom.
Or I could go size kang and get the XR382CQK which is 3840x1600.
I would like gsync as I currently have nvidia 780 ti(upgrading soon so it doesn't really matter) but all of the gsync panels that are 3440x1440 are all made by AU optronics and have shitty light bleed and color banding issues.
>>61251714
Acer is much better than Asus
>>61252040
Really? In what way? My TN 27 inch ASUS panel has lasted me a pretty long time.
>>61251714
I would go with the acer because
IPS >>>> SVA
75hz<100hz
Is audio on linux supposed to sound terrible? The bass is distorted and all the highs sound muffled. This is because of Pulseaudio isnt it?
Is Jack or OSS any better?
Pulseaudio just werks for me.
>>61251645
It works for me too but sounds significantly worse than windows
>>61251649
No difference for me. Must just be you.

I've always been told that when you swap boards you're pretty much always going to have to reinstall your OS. But with Windows 10 is much better about it. I had a friend switch from an Intel to AMD chipset and the only thing it did was invalidate his product key and give him the watermark. Is this commonly seen by you guys too?
You just have to reactivate Windows by signing into your Microsoft account. Worked for me after switching to new motherboard/cpu.
>>61251596
>signing into your microsoft account
Are you telling me there are people who actually make non-local user accounts?
>>61251747
>make m$ account before swapping
>sign back in after to activate
>unlink account

There is literally no reason to use BSD over GNU/Linux in the year 2017.
GNU/Linux:
Best disk, memory, network performance
Best software
More software
Everything works best on Linux
Best graphics performance
More drivers
More portable
Most freedoms without being a work for free cuckold
Best malware
Best CIA botnets
Best NSA SELinux
Best systemd
Best pulseaudio
Best SJWs
Solaris has stable ZFS :-)
For KRW 699,600 (~USD 605.34).
That price includes 10% VAT, so pre-sales tax price should be about $550.
>>61251414
That's a horrible price, holy shit. Isn't everything supposed to be cheap in korea?
>>61251826
>Isn't everything supposed to be cheap in korea?
No. Everything costs the same as in the U.S.

Worth it for gaming? Response time is fucked, refresh rate can only overclock to 75hz and it's a curved meme shit but regular retail price is almost 2 grand.
>>61251271
For the average human it would be fine. If you are a pro csgo player then you want the lowest response time possible.

>65hz
