Why android can`t be upgraded like Linux or windows? Why there is major release every year whic doesn't support all the phones? Even new windows or linux can be installed for most of the computers.

Did these fuckers crash the vintage laptop market with their Cash for Clunkers shit?

For instance, there's a whopping 14 Thinkpad X60s on ebay right now, there's usually hundreds.

What was Best Goy's end game for buying all these shit laptops?
>>
>>61374485
To kill the freedom of classic computers and give people no choice but to buy the newest Windows 10 and Chromebook botnets

And so many people sold their souls for $75. I heard from a guy that works there that they usually get about one or two laptop trade-ins per week but during the event they were doing 30 per day.

PC cases should be fun and exciting.

It seems all you guys are "GRRR I AM GRIMDARK AND SERIOUS ADULT I WANT ONLY BLACK BOX CASE" these days.

Lighten up. PCs are a fun hobby and cases should reflect that.

How difficult is it to find a simple case, with no LEDs, no glass panel, with the PSU located on the bottom, with dust filters on every opening. With fans only at the front and back and under 50USD.
How fucking difficult? Too fucking difficult, fuck your cases.

Hey gents is there a sbc or extremely low power computer cost effective that can run 1440p at 60hz. I don't need it for gaming or anything just to display videos and web pages. I don't feel like buying a high end computer just for a glorified info display purpose. If it could handle videos via YouTube that'd be nice too

>TFW too brainlet to even learn Python

Does it ever get easier? I have trouble remembering all the syntax let alone how it should look.

Python sucks ass. Java is a more powerful and easier to use language. All the java IDEs hold your hand. Netbeans pratically writes the code for you.
>>
>>61373711
I heard Java sucks and also is not as versatile as Python
>>
>>61373692

Just find some project and spend a couple of days mostly writing python, so >10hrs a day. Doesn't matter if you actually achieve anything useful, because you'll at least be forced to learn the basics by having to deal with actual problems.

You literally can't unless you have the time and expertise to audit gigabytes of source code. Linux is free and open source so it's insecure by nature. Anyone can bot it.
Don't even get me started on package managers.

well there's webp, which isn't exactly widely used. Really it's that there's no longer much pressure to make formats better. Bandwidth, storage space, and processing power aren't as tight as they used to be, and wide compatibility (that is, everyone using something that already exists) is a big advantage.
>>
cuz u can't beat a joint picture experts group in compression
>>
Everyone would have to agree to using it and it would also have to be a free format so adopting the format isn't made impossible because of licenses.
