/g/ I'm just fucking stuck. I'm trying to find a monitor for gaming that's between 22 and 24 inches which is $400 or under. What are some suggestions?
I've been looking for ages and not getting anywhere...
Since you didn't give any info:
Acer Predator XB241H
If you don't want gsync you could go way cheaper.

oh was doing something else at the same time as writing the post and didnt realize how bare it was.
got a RX 480 gfx card if that matters, 144 hz is preferable
>>61400516
and im no too bothered about IPS or TN
is 1440 on a 24 inch just a meme? would it look much better than 1080 (on a 24 inch screen)?
>>61400100
get 1440p at 27in
>>61400130
too big for smallish area i'll be using it, 24 is probably the maximum
>>61400179
Then go for 1080p
Have been using a Nexus 5X for the last two years and it's served me well.
I'm not getting tired of it's piss poor battery life and would like to upgrade.
I don't need mind blowing specs, just something that's got a good battery, and semi affordable.
Thoughts?

Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone in order to talk to his dog Erik who lived in America since a long distance owner-pet relationship was hard before the telephone. His dog later went to invent the paw paw.

For fucks sake I need help.
Setting up new router and it wont detect internet. I know the Lan line is good as it works on old router and when directly connected to PC.
In fact, I've ran it from the old router to the new router, and the new router picks up the internet from it.
Im lost. I really don't want to use two routers as it kind of defeats the purpose. If someone can help or knows someone that can help, please let me know. Thanks.

Routers are inherently shit devices. Build yourself a custom firewall.
Your ISP has there internet tied to a specific mac address. Adjust your routers mac address from default settings to the same one as the old router.
This will work. I'm 100% positive

This. This guy gets it. I have had this issue with Time Warner or Spectrum or whatever the fuck they call themselves. It's a MAC address issue.
Ok so say I were to download some pictures, audio files from sound cloud, a few torrents, and other random articles.
How do I ensure these are malware free and can I scan the files before downloading them?
>>61398392
I only know of the pic I posted as the go to file scanner.
Are there fully libre options for removing malicious files? Preferably something I can run from a usb drive.
>>61398392
You named linux. Get any distro to download said files and pass clamav over your files, as to scan for windows viruses so you can then pass your files to your windows computer.

I don't use windows
I have a 2012 Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) which has an i5-3317U and 4GB RAM. I haven't installed anything much on the computer, but Firefox is often slow (can't even scroll smoothly) when I'm only browsing 4chan or youtube.
I don't know shit about computers but would replacing the SSD with a better one solve this problem? It seems that other people who own this laptop complain that the stock SSD (Sandisk U100) is shitty and the first thing they replace
What getting an SSD will do is force you to start installing programs from scratch. This gives you the opportunity to be more careful about what is on your computer. ("Haven't installed much" doesn't mean it is isn't there.) Background processes are probably a big part of the sluggishness you're experiencing. The computer can just about handle everything right up until you open big or media-rich pages on Firefox.
Other points to consider:
1) Firefox has a shitty implementation of "one process per tab" called e10. Look up how to disable that garbage.
2) 4GB RAM will probably be enough, but find out how much of a pain it would be to upgrade to 8GB if you can.
I have a 2012 zenbook with 4GB and the same SSD and the SSD is absolute trash. 4GB is not enough these days, which means you'll have to rely on virtual memory and paging to disk. With the shitty U100, the system slows down significantly whenever there is any disk activity. Fuck, the U100 can't even sustain 30MB/s sequential write sometimes. I put a better SSD in it and it became much more usable.

Have you ever been so fat that you literally start smoking food?
>>61397693
As someone with what I can only imagine is an actual eating disorder I've been wondering whether or not something like this would help cure my food addiction, or at least control it while I try and lose some weight. Can anyone let me know if smoking this shit curbs appetite?

Sup /g/ I wanna know if anyone has had any luck ghosting windows 8/8.1/10 images to pc's with different hardware. *I'm referring to sys prepping the machine to avoid windows activation on machines I already own. OR has microsoft finally went full socialism and provided a FREE alternative to transfer ownership of a windows license.
The reason I ask is because Ryzen seems good enough on paper to justify a cheap gaming rig for 2017.
