wtf, it's not even that bad, why are you using xubuntu as bait?
I find my audio is too quiet for my liking when listening to some music. I know very little about audio. So my questions are:
Will a sound card solve this problem for me? And what else will a decent sound card bring?
Or am I just better off getting an amp?
what are you using to listen to it?
high end headphones may require an amp to power them, and a dac to clean up the sound, no need for a sound card. Decent studio monitors should have everything on board except a dac, again negating the need for a sound card.
if you don't have either and are using some bullshit earbuds or speakers your comp came with, drop that shit and get some decent gear.

Need to upgrade your memes there, bro.
Does anyone know of better voices available to download for Windows 10 text to speech? The 3 default ones are weak. I need something more.... creative.

Is anyone else having an issue with YouTube subscriptions not showing in Android? As soon as I unsub Louis Rossmann it all starts working again. If I subscribe, the same issue comes back. Even reinstalled the app with no luck.
Is there any video-editing software that allows you to implement an authentic 8mm-film filter over footage? I just want to know what certain things would look like if they were ripped from an early '70s TV show.
Why is everyone on this board 14 years old?

Best Remote Desktop Sharing program?
Been using chrome remote desktop with a friend to play coop games on emulators. Doesn't work bad but l was wondering if there was a faster RDS program with less lag/more fps. Thanks in advance

Has nothing to do with the program, and everything to do with network connection.
When learning programming, how do I strike the balance between practical and theory? Is theory necessary?
Is "just doing it" and using Google a lot the only way? I will feel like a codemonkey pleb who doesn't know enough. But doing theoretical stuff like learning maths / SICP makes me feel like an ineffectual mental masturbatir that seeks comfort in closed textbook problems instead of the real world
>>61360762
>how do I strike the balance between practical and theory?
I think that the best one is 95% practice and 5% theory
>Is "just doing it" and using Google a lot the only way?
yes
>I will feel like a codemonkey pleb who doesn't know enough.
all this shit can be learnt easily but is mostly useless, just learn only what you need
What I did was use google when needed. Now it seems that I almost never need to use it. Just try to remember what you google.
>Oh hi, you must be Anon! Nice to meet you! I'll tell you a bit about myself first to make things less awkward. I graduated from Columbia last summer with an Economics degree and now work in the Emerging Markets Bonds division of Morgan Stanley. In college I was president of my Sorority, secretary and vice captain of the D1 lacrosse team, and a national debater.
>Now in my spare time I arrange events for the Manhattan Women Succeeding In Finance Network, volunteer to teach programming in inner city schools, sail, and run marathons for charity. What about you? What university did you go to?
>Oh... I didn't know that state had a Northern state university... Yeah, I guess it was cheaper... What job do you do?
>Oh... Well, what do you do in your spare time?
>Oh cool! You mean as part of a club or side business? No...
>Well... Oops, there's my phone, I have a 2:15... yeah, on a Sunday! Nice meeting you, so sorry we had to cut this short!

Is this supposed to be a date or a job interview or what, I'm seriously confused. Doesn't seem technology-related either.
Are there any decent replacements for Youtube Center?
I an using the dev user script version but it is not working with the new version of Youtube for me and refreshing the page does not normally fix it
https://github.com/ParticleCore/Iridium
Has anyone had experience with 3d printers? I wanna get into it, but don't know where to start.
I'm not afraid of opening something up to fix it, but I'd prefer not to spend 2 hours operating on it like some reviews are saying.
>>61359852
If you want to do anything decent with it be prepared to do a lot of tweaking to designs, code, temps, ect. Printers take a bit to dial in.
Fully enclosed print area is a must
Keep your filament dry
If you don't know 3D modeling start learning
>>61360859
Is heat buildup an issue if the print area is fully enclosed?
