WMO is a meme mouse with low dpi that can't be changed to accomodate larger resolutions. It's good enough if you are ok with that though
>>61733024
Logitech MX Master, cheap, wireless, comfy as fuck. Wait for it to get a drop in price and you will pay less than 40$ at te most.

I recently had a difficult upgrade to 10.12.6. Now my iMac is doing fine until I shut down. All applications are quit out of, I do a normal under-the-apple-Shut Down, the screen goes to almost black and the cursor jumps to the upper left corner. That's it. I have to press and hold the power button to get it to completely power down. When I restart, I get the message that my iMac didn't properly shut down. I've reset the NPRAM, ran Disk Utilities, did an SMC reset, as part of the install, reinstalled Sierra—all to no avail.
Thanks Apple. It never works.

In C, when you want to access index j of an array A, do you prefer to write A[j] or j[A]?

A[j]. Don't try to do cutesy shit just to wave your dick in the wind.

If you want help:
>Assemble parts list

>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate

CPUs:
No i5 unless discounted
>G4560 - poverty-tier builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good stop-gap between the 1500x and the 1200, only get a 1400 if you absolutely need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
GPUs:
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - 1080p@60~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@80hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - 1080p@130hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - 1440p@144hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games
>Vega soon.
RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
General:
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.

death to miners
I've noticed stores have GPUs in stock now, just for inflated prices.
Is mining dying off a bit, and can we expect prices/stock to normalise soon?
who is this semen demon?
I'm using a laptop right now with infuriating chiclet keyboard and faggy touch screen and it folds over into a tabet (a cumbersome feature which I doubt anyone uses), it has windows 10 on it despite being barely capable to run it properly and its 30gb(!!!!) ssd is almost full from the start just with the OS
yes I would get an old thinkpad like an x61 or something but THE SCREENS ARE FUCKING ASS. I want a good resolution; everyone's grandmother's old smartphone has 1920x1080 despite being like 4 inches diagonally and I want to not have to look at giant ass pixels on my laptop. that's the other thing with what I'm using right now suprisingly, the res isn't even that good despite being so cool and hip and modern.
I want an old thinkpad with a good res screen is all I'm saying.
How do I get that?

i really want to be a programmer but i can't find a single project that i want to work on, it just isnt fun for me anymore fellas. maybe i should just give up.
web development community is filled with pajeets and the shit just isn't fun anymore, and data science is too hardcore in terms of maths. everybody talks about how x language is shit and y language is also equally as shit and it just is fucking exhaustive.
i dont have any friends who are developers so i'm pretty much on my own in this quest of becoming some faggy dev. it's been about a year and a half and i've learned nothing but the bare basics of about 7 languages that i cant do fuck all with.
i just don't know what to do /g/

If you think programming is for fun you're either autistic or a loser without any real hobbies or friends so you have no idea what fun is
>>61731974
>I really want to be a body builder but idk guys everyone says different routines are better than others, I've tried 7 different diets and never really stuck to them, I don't enjoy lifting weights, what should I do?
You don't want to be a programmer, you just want to want to be one. Probably because you incorrectly assume you're smart and you like the concept of being able to avoid school and still be considered a success.
Literally go online look whats hiring in your area, and learn that shit, done deal. Hell here's a project for your autistic ass, build a webscraper and aggregate common keywords across different hiring websites in your area, store in the data in something simple like mysql, and then see what frameworks and languages you're most likely to get a job in. Very simple task to do in multiple different languages.
