Just so I don't have to shitpost and make a thread for a dumb question, will working out each major muscle group once a week get me any progress whatsoever?
I work 30+ hours a week, I'm a full time college student, and I do martial arts three nights a week so I can really only get to the gym three times a week or so and I'm worried that only being able to do chest once a week for example won't net me any gains

There's obviously some fat, but yeah, if your lifts are increasing, there's definitely muscle gain, and you do look more filled out.

I'm trying to go from skinny to built which is a different ballgame entirely, but that kind of thing is still pretty inspiring
I can't tell you for sure when it will end, for some people it stops after a couple months, some can ride it out for a year or more, there's no set time really.
Odds are your progress will start to slow after about 6 months or so, that's what I experienced, and most people I know that lift were about the same.
The best sign is when you're unable to progress linearly anymore, that's when you should move on from a novice program and onto one designed for intermediates.
Don't stress about not reaching a goal weight in any lift within a timeframe though, that's how people get injuries, trying to push stuff they shouldn't be yet. Just focus on progressing, and keeping your form good, it's better to reach that 225lbs bench 6 months or even a year late than it is to tear your rotator cuff and never reach it at all.
Can I ask what program you're on? Because OHP should definitely be part of it.
my knee needs to be drained of fluid, i'm not able to do squats and deadlifts as i would love to : ( i go to the gym 5 times a week and i have back, chest and arm days.
Back day is assisted chin ups 40lbs 5x10, rows 60lbs 5x10 , lat pulldowns 70lbs 5x10, hanging leg raises 3x20 (full legs extended) and this weighted ab machine cruncher thing at 6lbs now.
Chest is bench 105lbs (feeling light will up this to 110lbs) 5x5, barbell press 40lbs 5x5 (but really i just do this to failure, i hit 9,8,7,7,6 reps this go, need to up the weight to 45lbs. Butterfly 80lbs 5x10 then the hanging leg raises and ab thing again.
Arm day i experiment with new things and equiptment but mostly front raises, side raises, shoulder press, chinups, pullups, and the ab stuff. I go to the gym almost everyday though, 5-6 days a week, also i ride my bike to work 7 miles everyday if that matters to you.
Is it just me or do people seem shorter online? I'm 5'10" and I feel like nearly everyone is taller than me in real life. Then I see so many people on here who are sub 5'9". Is 4 Chan just short?
To anyone trying minoxidil: It won't do shit for your cheeks. I did it for 6 weeks and it only made my mustache and goatee grow out at a faster rate. My cheeks are still as bare as the day I was born, and I have never shaved them.
All minoxidil does it thicken the places where you already have hair growing.
I started taking the minoxidil foam last week, so results yet, but I'm getting some wierd side effects. Every time I take it, my tongue feels funny, and I get a little sick to my stomach for a little while after.
Have you had this problem? Does it go away?

Everyone's facial hair is completely different, so it doesn't matter what my results were. I can tell you that it didn't do anything for my cheeks, which were my problem areas. So if your problem areas are your lips/chin, it probably won't do anything for you either. Or it might. It's only like $30, give it a try if you really want to.
I had liquid minoxidil, but I didn't have any side affects. Here's a tip though, DO NOT apply it any more than twice daily. You should be applying it 12 hours apart, and never inbetween. If you apply more than this, you will start having side affects.
