Can anyone help on how to discipline oneself to diet and workout? I can manage to workout but I can't stick to a healthy diet for a long period of time. I just love food too much. I'm 5'10 and 25% bf weighing at 197 lbs.
You need to think this way:
Once you lose the fat, you'll look good, when you're there you can keep on eating healthy and lifting to build a decent body or you can stay this way just eating whatever you want like a fatass, you won't get fat if you burn it with cardio.
As long as you stick to it, 45 minutes of cardio everyday guarantee that you'll never get fat.
You just do it. Wanting it is personal. I do it to convince my family to be healthier so they don't die early. Also knowing that something like working out and eating right takes time to see results makes me know that other things take time to see results. Like whitening my teeth, studying for a good GPA and career, getting enough sleep, and all other positive things in my life. That's all I need to know, but that's just me.
Ill dump some motivation but sersiously you need to stick with it for one month having one cheat meal per week max, if you can stick it through for one month your taste buds change and the fruit and vegetables that used to be gross or bland are now delicious.
>started 240lbs currently 178
>decided to get fit
>lost 71 lbs
> kept lifting but put back on 20 lb
I'm still within a healthy bmi, but I'm struggling to stick to what I previously could. I just don't seem to be motivated anymore. I'll keep lifting though, I love that shit
Hope these help you as they did me
For me, I was only able to succeed on keto. It was the only way. It curbed my appetite, controlled cravings for sugar (don't underestimate this, I know plenty of people that are sugar addicts), and at the end of the day it made it easier to stick to a caloric deficit with the lower appetite and avoidance of delicious carbs for more fullfilling foods. Zyzz said keto was his favorite for a cut.
honestly for me it boiled down to this: eat loads of veggies, drink tons of water, eat veggies before your protein in your meal (veggies take longer to digest and slow down the digestive process, making you feel fuller for longer). if you're really desperate start smoking or do an EC stack, and I found that i got better results if i had one day a week on a cut when i literally ate like 600 kcals of pretty much just protein, and also had one day a week where i ate like 500kcals over my target. hope this helps!
>45 minutes of cardio everyday guarantee that you'll never get fat.
> if I do keto it means I die in my 20's like Zyzz.
sugar addiction is not a meme desu
let's not try to be a retard in 2016, senpai.
People don't binge on steak and butter desu.
You do realize that millions of people do keto to control epilepsy and live normal, long lives?
lmao you're a tard.
no one can motivate you, but yourself.
>I can't stick to a healthy diet for a long period of time
Why can't you? What's stopping you?
>I just love food too much
Do you love food too much? or do you love junk food too much? You can still lose weight, and enjoy food.
Wat? 5'10, 197 lbs, 25%bf?
I just used a set of calipers for the first time and got 18% bf and I'm 203lbs. One of us fucked up, but it was my first time using calipers. How'd you get your bf%?
its a midset
you have it or you dont
your gonna be forever unhappy because you like immediate pleasure better than long term satisfaction
its long term happiness vs short term pleasure
Do you really love food? Like do you love preparing dishes and thinking of new ways to cook stuff? Or do you love garbage? Greasy, salty, processed, instant trash food? Sugar-laden, carbofatbomb crunch?
If you like food, switch up sweets for fruit and eat lean meats, oats, grains, sweet potatoes and such you should be able to maintain a decent diet and feel full after a meal. But I bet you mean you like eating garbage.
You need to truly want a change to make a change. If you don't truly want it your life will continually get worse until you eventually reach a low so low that it changes your life and forces you to change your ways
>imagine a life without erectile dysfunction
>imagine a life where breathing doesn't hurt
>imagine a life where women or men actually want you
>imagine a life where you aren't crying every night
>imagine a life where you don't develop cancer early on from testosterone drop
Well, lets be honest, you didnt get to your current weight by being disciplined. You just need to control yourself. If you can't, then you dont deserve to be in shape. Its your choice. Theres no magic answer
>the ridiculously high amounts of test being spiked thanks to the picture on the right
There are really no easy answers for that. Different things work for different people, and at the end of the day? Nothing that anyone else says is going to be able to keep you motivated long term. You've got to do it yourself.
One small trick that does sometimes help me if I'm feeling shitty, or want to skip a meal/gym day/whatever, is to re-frame the idea in your head.
You want those chips? That soda? Use it as an opportunity to prove to yourself that you can abstain. It doesn't mean that you have to follow your diet forever and ever, no exceptions. It just means that today - this time - you are proving to yourself you can do this.
Then do it again next time.
You don't wake up one day and decide to be fit.
You have to wake up every day and make that choice, each time.
When you say you love food, do you mean you actually cook tasty high quality meals yourself or are you addicted to calorie dense fast food garbage?
Because if the latter is true, you certainly do not love food. Even deeming that shit food is an insult to actual food.
Op, did you know that there are people who look exactly like those sculptures in your pic?
She's trying kek
looks like it already did
I can literally just look at a girl and tell if she's a coalburner
desu though I want to fuck her too
