I define real masculinity almost as a form of stoicism. I man has to be able to take not just a physical punch, but an emotional one as well. That is just me, I grew up with a lot of violence and so I have a different view on things.

It feels men are growing soft in 2016. Not sure if that is due to culture, media, etc. I am okay with this, I only judge myself, no one else.

To me..being a man is being able to stand on your own two feet in general, to live your life as you see fit as long as it doesn't inhibit others from doing so, and to not be a burden to society/carry your weight.

I expect a lot more from me personally to fit the definition of being a man, such as being physically able and healthy, honor in your word/work, and finding skills and hobbies to master, but I don't see them as definite criteria to be considered a man.

What this website is, is anonymity and some constraints that would otherwise be applied are non-existent here. That's what I like, and that's why I like all the people who go on here.
