I have fairly wide hips like this guy, and im pretty much skinnyfat atm, i reacently started working out but i really dont want to have this shape, how can i make my hips smaller/look smaller?

I'm in the exact same situation (pretty much same body as right pic when I breathe out) and so far I found nothing that makes my body look acceptable. It sucks, but in the end it's all about letting go of the idea that you can ever reach your goal body. You are fucked, but you can at least try to make the best out of it. I don't know why I even keep going, I know I look like shit and will look even shittier after my cut (before lifting, I had weak shoulders too, so it's at least somewhat better). There are other benefits of fitness though.

thanks for this thread /fit/, i have wide hips and have been lifting for 2 years. sometimes it feels like all my progress is useless because i can't change the shape of my bones, but i keep going anyway, tryingto get bigger and leaner and stronger. this thread made me realize i'm not alone in this, and we can make it too.

It's hard as fuck to stay motivated without being able to see any of your gains. It's even worse to know you'll only look good if you do plastic surgeries, and knowing all your gains will melt while you recover.
