Is it cheating no fap to look at images like gif related.
I mean shes clothed. And it makes me very happy.
Im 34 days strong and Im feeling massive gains. I hard recently started balding and no fap made me take effort to improve my life. Less stress, more exercise, better cardio system, more sleep, etc.
Ive also started pushing myself for volume because I have more energy. Like chest days before were just 3x8 185. Now its 10x10 155.
Not much weight but when you get to 50 the arms start wobbling.
Anyways, I need my no fap gains. But I really want to look at pic related. I wont fap. Is that good enough or should I avoid all images like pic related.
I know. Im not going to fap at this point. I dont really have the urge to touch my dick. I know long associate touching my dick with pleasure because its been so long.
That being said I enjoy having boners. I still have naughty thoughts from time to time but thats because i want to get frequent boners to make sure my dick doesnt feel unused.
I dont have a gf. Ive had sex before though. I just remember that moment mainly and get a boner using that. I havent been looking at images like the pic in the op. But should I not. I mean its not porn, and it makes me happy.
Theres also pics like this which make me happy.
I just fapped but yeah that's a very sexually provocative image m8. nothing beautiful or artistic about it. if you want to give yourself blue balls by all means but if you want to get away from porn/looking at girls as sex objects I'd stop.
I did nofap once and looking at picture like that is what eventually did me in.
Well I only found these pics because i was browsing 4chan and came across way too much gay one day and needed something to overwrite the gay with. Had to find images of girls bent over to make the nightmares stop.
Like I said though. Im not about to fap.
I imagine that nofap should be followed by attempts at starting social life/going out more. If you're doing nofap but not changing anything else about your life you can help yourself only so much. And it's very easy to go back to fapping 5 times a day.
My belief is that porn can be harmful but fapping to your imagination is perfectly healthy if only done a few times a week. Fantasize about real girls that you know rather than watching men fuck hot girls you will never meet. Improve your creativity and give yourself a mental workout by jacking off to fantasies you create yourself.
Every time I havent fapped in a couple weeks when I see an image like this I go directly to /gif and then bust a nut.
I'm not saying it will happen to you but it's very easy thing to happen especially when you are ragin hard.
Only makes my dick harder
Where can I find more pics like this which arent porn but can be used to fap
Coming from a long-time nofapper: You are kidding yourself. All you are doing is replacing 'hardcore" porn with "softcore" porn. There is really no difference between the two because they both cause arousal in your brain. You can explain it away all you want but in the end you are getting sexually stimulated.
give it a whirl, see where it goes, maybe it works wonders for you too
idk, i don't see any downsides to it, besides consistently discovering you don't have the self-control to keep abstaining
Yeah totally. For me though if I'm trying to not watch porn at all, then watching softcore shit is just playing with fire. Eventually you escalate and keep searching for more until you end back at the depraved hardcore midget tranny stuff [or whatever]
Some people take it too far to the point where they masturbate multiple times per day to all different kinds of fetish porn videos. Think browsing pornhub for 2+ hours per day, frying your brain to all kinds of stuff that gets you off day after day, every day since you were 13.
People have noticed that coming away from that and focusing on improving their lives they feel much better, sleep better, have better relationships etc.
Some people go into the neuro and hormone science but AFAIK that side of it is purely conjecture and can pretty much be ignored.
Even so, people find a benefit so why not?
Jesus fucking christ, faggots. Men are supposed to cum. You want to cum in your pink panties while wet dreaming? Just jerk off if you want to. I watch porn and jed off like once a week or once in two weeks. I have a girlfriend that does crazy shit in bed, but when I am not with her I jerk my noodle to some porn. What is wrong with that. I am commited to my gf but male instinct drives me to want to fuck other women. By replacing urges to fuck other sluts I just jerk it to some bitches in pirn and the urge goes away for a while. If you are a fucking beta nofap could help you in means that by not fapping you will want to cum somehow and might actually try it with real girls. Just don't rape anybody. Knowing you faggots it might actually happen. Fapping is better than rape tbqh, family.
correlation =/= causation, and i don't think you're anxious because you fap
but yeah, a different behavior = different habits, i'm also asking questions, not looking for ignorant answers from insult spewing patronizing neckbeards
I get breakouts after fapping like within an hour, but inflammation goes down after about 6 hours if I lay off the next few days it gets better, fapping everyday definitely made my skin awful.
This actavates my almonds.
>literally no hips
How can anyone jerk off to a woman with big tits and small hips/ass?
I'd rather have a woman with b cup tititties and wide hips and a nice big juicy butt brehs CMON
Edging for an extended period of time like that produces an incredible orgasm, a huge quantity of cum, and an inability to have a satisfying orgasm for about a day or two after. Long, protracted edging during sex is even better if you have a woman who can handle it.
Can someone redpill me on how not fapping somehow improves your life or makes you feel better?
Literally 100% of doctors and medical experts recommend masturbation
>Makes you feel happy
>Literally releases chemicals in the brain that improve your happiness and well-being
>Prevents you from being a lusty rapist 24/7
>Stops prostate cancer
It's literally unequivocally a GOOD and positive thing with many health benefits.
I'd love to hear someone explain WHY it makes their lives better other than "Lol I dunno bro, I just feel a lot happier"
Is it because you feel you are achieving something or controlling your will power?
I'm doing it to restore some sensitivity due to using death grip. I've tried the no porn route, but I wound up needing to grab hard to maintain the erection, so I'm hoping for an overall reboot so I can mentally stop using porn, and physically change the habit so I can finally cum from sex
>Literally 100% of doctors and medical experts recommend masturbation
they're not specialists in neuroscience.
>Makes you feel happy
>Literally releases chemicals in the brain that improve your happiness and well-being
at the expense of disturbing your dopamine regulation over time, definitely if you do a lot of it (hour-long edging sessions) but maybe also even if it's "in moderation" - I only had the full results from this when I went full abstinence for a year.
Am i the only one who halfway through a fap session gets...frustrated and sad instead and lose the feeling?
I mean i start thinking "shit, this is hot" but it rather quickly turn into the "This wont ever happen to me" feeling which is 100% boner kill
how the fuck do i get over this shit?
>greater clarity of mind
>more sense of connection
>more awareness of physical sensations
>less brain fog
>more emotional depth (before I started my emotions were very flat compared to how they became after)
>"it's unequivocally a GOOD and positive thing"
it really isn't in my experience - bear in mind I spent a year on it (some of the results come fast but I can't say all of them do), and when I went only without visual stimulation and still masturbated I didn't have the same dramatic differences.
if you're not addicted maybe it won't make a difference I couldn't say - as I've looked into it it seems like masturbation is necessarily addictive in the sense that it stimulates an appetite (for sex) without satisfying it - you're teasing yourself, and that isn't the sort of thing which makes someone healthy over time, it's the sort of thing which makes addiction - the same way appetite stimulants in food (sugar, salt, fat) make someone addicted to eating. You need to eat something nutritionally satisfying and you need to have a full emotional experience of sex like humans had all through evolution.
Well, i mean i know why
partly its because i cant find a girl and partly because i cant trust a girl
but im not gonna be a dick and assume you mean change these two things but shit aint easy bro
Masturbation and (arguably) in combination with porn are addicting matter, because your brain can't tell the difference between arousal of porn or arousal of an actual gril. We're lazy animals who subconciously always want to go for the easy road instead of the hard one, thus ending up with opening a private tab and bust nuts three times a day.
For anyone wanting to understand the neurochemistry which -might- be behind "nofap":
Dopamine was thought at one time to be a reward chemical reinforcing adaptive behaviour like eating, having sex etc. - that's an outdated understanding of it which you will still find spread around by internet blogs, non-specialist doctors etc. - what's thought to be true now is that dopamine is a motivation chemical which encourages pursuit of adaptive behaviours like eating, having sex etc. The confusion comes from the tendency of dopamine production to be associated with repeating behaviours - so let's say eating sugar raises dopamine. This is thought to be because it was adaptive at one time for humans to make the most of fruit when it was available. Dopamine encourages learning (remembering where the fruit was), compulsive repetition of the behaviour and stimulating of internal motivators like appetite. In short: you repeat dopaminergic behaviours because they're compulsive, not because they're rewarding.
So dopamine motivates you to seek reward, but in itself doesn't supply it. Sugar won't satisfy you, it only stimulates you to eat more. What satisfies is other processes triggered not by the taste-buds but by the stomach, blood-sugar level etc. (I think serotonin mediates satisfaction but I haven't looked into it specifically) so say fruit has two "values" - one is how much it stimulates your appetite (sugar content), the other is how much it satisfies you (carbohydrate, nutritional content etc.). If you eat pure sugar, you end up stimulating a lot of dopamine activity without having enough of the other side to "close the loop" and satisfy you. You end up with a lot of circulating dopamine - and you'll be motivated to keep consuming the pure sugar because ordinarily that would mean you'd eventually eat enough fruit. Without the necessary balance to lower your dopamine levels again or balance them out with serotonin or whatever, you end up with compulsive behaviours.
The next step to understand might be more speculative - this is that excessive dopamine build-up leads to down-regulation of the neuro-receptors which ordinarily respond to dopamine. What this means is NOT that these things become less satisfying over time, since dopamine isn't involved in satisfaction. Oddly enough it means that the behaviours become easier to indulge in. The normal response to seeing a video of a woman moaning and writhing in heat is to want to have sex with her, and that's experienced as an itch you really want to scratch - a strong discomfort like being hungry or thirsty or really wanting to go to sleep. Endorphins are released as well, though - so once your dopamine receptors are downgraded you won't feel the "itch" you'll only feel the endorphins.
Watching videos like that is obviously unnatural in the same way as pure sugar (all stimulation, no satisfaction), but a lot of people seem to think masturbation is satisfying in its own right The most obvious sign masturbation is more like pure sugar than it is like actual food is that it's much less satisfying than sex - there was a study done showing how much richer sex is neurochemically than masturbation but I can't find it again (hopefully someone else can). Assuming that almost all successful humans during our evolutionary history had a successful social life, we might assume they were all having regular sex - not sitting in a cave alone masturbating. If so, we can expect any tactile stimulation of the genitals to be treated as though it's the start of a full sexual experience, because throughout evolution it was. So if you start the experience but you don't finish it - and you repeat that "starting not finishing" sequence again and again over months - it's reasonable to expect you end up with the same compulsive, addictive behaviour as someone drinking soda over and over again in the hopes that one day they'll have enough of it.
So what happens when someone cuts out these "dead-end" dopaminergic behaviours is their dopamine neuro-receptors have an opportunity to recover and return to normal. It seems to take a long time for that to happen completely, but more short term, one-month results will come as levels of circulating dopamine drop. To work out what results we could expect from this, we'd have to list all the activities dopamine is involved in - motivation is one, though I think there are others like sensory input, physical dexterity and I'm sure a lot of others.
>Dopamine motivates you to do things
>if you can't actually do the thing dopamine's pushing you to do you get a build-up of dopamine
>that build-up shuts off your body's response to dopamine
>so you end up repeating the behaviours which raise dopamine compulsively
>that messes you up further
>when you stop those behaviours your brain can eventually go back to normal
>masturbation is one of those behaviours because it's telling you "sex is happening" but sex never turns up
I'm putting this together out of different sources so it isn't 100% sure but it definitely looks that way to me.
>addiction works such and such way
>masturbation fits the pattern
>results people get quitting it fit the pattern
if you think anything I said was incorrect I'll be happy to look at it again or explain/source it if I can.
it's important to remember though, quitting one addiction won't give you all those results if you have other addictions.
look reddit is full of autists like you and they love your kind there , espescially the no-fap cult.
who are you trying to help with this
half the threads here have people whining about women. the other half have people desperately talking about trannies they want to fuck.
nofap and noporn are 100% true imo but just about everyone here set themselves up for failure simply by posting here
Those articles are deliberately sensationalised like popular science articles always are - having one set of results inconsistent with what we expect doesn't mean the assumptions are wrong.
"An interaction of hypersexual problem group and the level of desire for sex with a partner predicted LPP amplitude. Specifically, those reporting problems regulating their VSS use who also reported higher sexual desire had lower LPP in response to VSS. This pattern appears different from substance addiction models. These are the first functional physiological data of persons reporting VSS regulation problems."
>This pattern appears different from substance addiction models.
>This is the first data
That doesn't translate into "porn addiction isn't real". They present it like that to sensationalise it. No-one is suggesting visual stimulation acts -exactly- like a substance addiction.
It's possible there are two types of addiction - they wouldn't even have to be very different, the only difference is the level of "sensitisation of late-positive potential", which is only "thought to show increased motivation for the cue of the person's addiction".
One possibility is the social stigma around sex makes people more inhibited when they're being analysed in a scientific setting so their brains react less than a smoker or gambler would, who's used to smoking or gambling in public and social settings.
One result you wouldn't expect in one study isn't enough to rule it out since it fits the criteria in all sorts of other ways.
Based on what I've read and experienced myself it looks like it has the ability to transform someone from an anti-social, self-neglecting miserable NEET to a normal, healthy member of society.
since i like experimenting i have tried no-fap for 6 months at one time , no-porn during that time too.
So my grades were great , attitude too - but testosterone dropped and even going to the gym and squatting i was stil bloated in the face even though i was skinny , it's the cortisol problem. Now i watch porn for like hour and my dick kind of stimulates the movement of dick in the video and gets hard , softer ,hard again after that i just ejaculate one time. no-fap is meme
the other issue with this study is it uses the social measure of addiction "how does it affect your life" which isn't a very reliable measure of addiction, and all the more so when you're looking at something with social stigma around it.
It sounds like it was working, though It's a shame your test levels dropped, that's one of the down-sides of it, and maybe makes it more important to have regular sex (which everyone should be doing anyway).
in the end it won't work for everyone, if you have other addictions you need to cut them out too to really have strong results. The most dramatic results are from the few who had this as their main addiction or the ones who ended up getting "on a roll" and cutting everything unhealthy out of their life.
>But I really want to look at pic related. I wont fap.
Yes you will. Avoid it entirely.
And delete all similar photos from your computer.
>all these people arguing over zinc and dopamine
>not doing it to improve your self control
OP here. Yes but i dont chalk that up to the no fapping. Ive picked up running (3-5 miles a day) again after like 2 weeks and went back to drinking 5 liters of water. Thats why I think my skin is clearer.
>but testosterone dropped
Did you actually get that confirmed by a doctor or are you just assuming it dropped?
the ybop guy pointed out the flaws with the prause studies
he also links to two peer reviewed papers that came to the same conclusion about prause as well
>In addition, the statement of Prause et al. that, “These are the first functional physiological data of persons reporting VSS regulation problems” is problematic because it overlooks research published earlier [262,263]. Moreover, it is critical to note that one of the major challenges in assessing brain responses to cues in Internet pornography addicts is that viewing sexual stimuli is the addictive behavior. In contrast, cue-reactivity studies on cocaine addicts utilize pictures related to cocaine use (white lines on a mirror), rather than having subjects actually ingest cocaine. Since the viewing of sexual images and videos is the addictive behavior, future brain activation studies on Internet pornography users must take caution in both experimental design and interpretation of results. For example, in contrast to the one-second exposure to still images used by Prause et al. , Voon et al. chose explicit 9-second video clips in their cue reactivity paradigm to more closely match Internet porn stimuli . Unlike the one-second exposure to still images (Prause et al. ), exposure to 9-second video clips evoked greater brain activation in heavy viewers of internet pornography than did one-second exposure to still images. It is further concerning that the authors referenced the Kühn and Gallinat study, released at the same time as the Voon study , yet they did not acknowledge the Voon et al. study anywhere in their paper despite its critical relevance.
there's a lot more there to read
Thought Id mention a few things on my 35 days of no fap
On the topic of dopamine. I think its real. I used to fap up to 3 times a day. Then my dick would get tired and would 1 time a day. It was always tame stuff. Only extreme things would be hentai.
When I first stopped like a week in my brain was going crazy. Like each time it was expecting me to fap and I rejected fapping it felt like my brain was oozing. Im not sure how to describe this. I really wish I payed more attention to where my brain felt the weirdest. But I was too busy going crazy. Like starving. It took about 3 weeks for that to stop.
I am always with fuck ton of energy and confidence whenever I abstain from touching my dick for few days. I did it couple of times and I am sure now that no fap does work. But it might be more to do with getting my test levels back to normal rather than have them perpetually down after fapping close to everyday.
Other thing I noticed that I only become more horny/have more test when I manage not to fap looking at sexy pictures. I try to moderate them and not include too much nudity.
Lol literally a fucking ho
There's no point in not fapping for 34 days you autistic, low testosterone FAGGOT
Holy shit. Go whack off to child pom and p0nies while you're at it.
You seem like the type for it.
the ybop guy's always linking to interesting stuff like this one on ED
>In the 1940s, the Kinsey report concluded that the prevalence of ED was less than 1% in men younger than 30 years, less than 3% in those 30–45.
>A 1999 cross-sectional study (based on data gathered in 1992) published by the Journal of the American Medical Association reported erectile dysfunction rates of only 5%, and low sexual desire in 5%. In that study, the ages of the men surveyed ranged from 18 to 59, so a third of them were over 40, which means the rates for sexually active men under 40 were lower.
>In 2002 Dutch researchers did a meta-analysis of 6 high-quality ED studies. All of the studies reviewed from Europe (5) reported ED rates for men under 40 of approximately 2%. The sixth was the one reported immediately above.
>Note: Keep in mind that ED rates for all men in every age group are higher than rates for sexually active men. For example, in the 1992 data for sexually active men 18-59, the average ED rate was only 5%. However, the rates for men (both sexually active and not) were 7% in men 18-29, 9% in men 30-39, 11% in men 40-49, and 18% in men 50-59. In order to compare "apples to apples," we, like most researchers, focus on rates for sexually active men. This unfortunately fails to count ED problems in young men who avoid sex due to porn-induced sexual dysfunctions.
>Now, we turn to other recent studies on young men (~40 and under). Using the IIEF-5, a 2012 cross-sectional study of Swiss men aged 18-24 found ED rates of 30%, and a 2010 Brazilian study of men 18-40 reported ED rates of 35%. A 2013 Italian study reported one in four patients seeking help for new onset ED were younger than 40. Astonishingly, the rate of severe ED was nearly 10% higher in younger men than in men over 40. Also, a 2015 paper about 4,211 Italians who sought outpatient help for sexual dysfunction found that compulsive masturbators were younger than the other men and had higher rates of ED (and were likely masturbating to internet porn).
>A 2014 study on Canadian adolescents reported that 53.5% of males aged 16-21 have symptoms indicative of a sexual problem. Erectile dysfunction was the most common (27%), followed by low sexual desire (24%), and problems with orgasm (11%). The authors were baffled why rates were so high, and were surprised that sexual dysfunction rates for males surpassed females, unlike in earlier published literature.
>A 2015 study on Italian high school seniors (18-19) found that 16% of those who use porn more than once per week reported abnormally low sexual desire. Non-porn users reported 0% low sexual desire.
>A 2014 survey of Croatian men 40 and under reported ED rates of 31% and low sexual desire rates of 37%.
>A 2015 study, which asked Canadian men using porn 7 or more hours per week about their sexual functioning, found that 71% had sexual dysfunctions, with 33% reporting difficulty orgasming. Average age 41.5.
Trust me, nofap works if you wank so much you have trouble getting and maintaining an erection. I also noticed rashes on my skin clearing up after being present for over a year, but that may or may not have been a coincidence/placebo. You probably don't think it does anything you've never actually been addicted to masturbation
>you agree not to try to chat
Do people actually buy permission to view a girl? That's kinda pathetic.
watch out for confirmation bias - if someone is looking specifically for supporting studies instead of looking at the field as a whole they can end up with a distorted view of the available evidence.
Her tits are literally almost already touching her belly button. If they're sagging this bad now, just imagine 5 10 or 20 years from now..... and it looks like she has horrible sun damage that wont help the leather shoe look.
Anon I sugeest you stop placebo bs and try doing something useful with your time for once. Go learn an instrument, another language, anything that might make you more bearable as a human being. And ffs get some standards
I just hate basic bitches that try to supplement their boring personality by trying to act "quirky"
>likes adventure time
>has a deadpool costume because he's edgy but a safe edgy
>has a ukulele
>tries to act silly and spontaneous but it's really forced
>stop placebo bs and try doing something useful with your time for once. Go learn an instrument, another language,
learning new things won't help his motivation, but abstaining will help motivation and lead to learning new things - you're asking him to become the way abstinence will make him without doing the one thing he needs to do to make it happen.
he's always addressed studies and articles that reportedly debunk nofap/noporn
he wrote this in response to the popular pic related
some more examples of responses to popular critiques of nofap
and there's a subsection on his site with responses to more of this stuff. he's definitely not ignoring possible contradictory evidence
>gf away for 8 months
>3 weeks in
>already txting girls on kik
>close to cheating
Have you ever been on those cam site? It's pretty sad man. a lot of those guys have no game, so they pay the girls to masturbate, dance around and be nice to them. I'm sure theyknow in the back of their minds that the girl doesn't care about them, but they still pay her because shes the only one who will "love them". Most of the girls on there are also damaged so having all these guy say sweet shit to them makes them feel special.
I would go on there a lot in high school. Some of those girl will do some hardcore shit for money lol. Now I go there every now and then just so I can fuck with the new models that have no clue how ruthless that site is.
tldr; cam sites are cancerous
It's not only a matter of addressing contradictory evidence, though that helps. I'm happy to take on his ideas and there's no reason you shouldn't see them as a starting-point for your own research but you should do your own study of the science ideally - anyone with an agenda is suspect at the end of the day, even if they seem balanced in their approach.
Bloody hell, this has to be a bait. Pretty good one, but I deciphered you.
>calls someone else a loser
lmao k senpai
In the society of today the testosteron makes the men to monsters and they tell you its okay and good for you to fap everyday because the more you fap the more goes the testosteron out of your body bro they want you to be gay and not to be the alpha man who bangs the chicks away thats the point! Its because of the feminism anon friend, protip search for Orlando Owen on youtube and spray it around because we have to stand up for our rights anon friend :) sorry for my english im germanfag
that article is weak, a lot of "characterful language" and illustrations, hardly anything scientific - one fact about abstinence raising erectile dysfunction risk but it doesn't look strong and that only means men should be aiming to have sex instead.
Anon, I found a video I was trying to find for a year. I saved it, but I deleted it later. There's no reason to have that porn if you aren't going to fap. You know you're gonna fap to them later.
I know how you feel, though. I deleted all my porn but I still have sex toys that I haven't thrown out. Today I was so close to relapsing, so I'll try to muster up the strength to throw them out.
I've put hours of work into shooping futa edits of my female friends, I can't simply flush it all. I've done no-fap before (maxed at 31 days) but after reading this entire thread I think I'll stil fap, just less and only to mental imagery. Having blue balls is no fun, I reckon once every week or so won't make me a slave to the urge.
Wait, futa edits? You mean you had photos of them naked and put dicks on them, or you put their face on chicks with dicks?
Anyway, I'd still delete them. Once you do it, the fact that you ever once had a "collection" will make you cringe.
Mental imagery is definitely way better than porn, but you'll relapse to porn way more and you'll essentially still be the same. Consider doing nofap again, the way you feel after a week is unbelievable.
What I found helps is imagining how you look in third person. When you imagine yourself as a hairless ape in a dark room, pants around ankles, staring into a bright light, the desire goes away pretty fast.
Sup guys. I'm on day 6 of NoFap, and it's been a ride. I've looked at porn (the first few days), but still managed to abstain.
But since yesterday things have gotten weird. I've had vivid nightmares, I'm a lot more emotional, and now I can't get horny at all, even by looking at porn. Is this normal?
I did nofap once and I got weird. After four or five days I for some reason thought it was a good idea to inbox random girls on facebook.
I'm super socially retarded and I think fapping keeps me in line so that I don't completely embarrass myself. I don't know where I would be without masturbation but I think I'd be a lot worse off.
I'm not saying I'd become a rapist or something ridiculous, just that I'd be weird. Weirder.
no anon. That was you trying to become normal for a moment. You reached out for female contact. Thats the first step to getting woman.
Just proves you dont always immediately notice your no fap gains.
It might be worth riding out the initial stage where your libido is sky-high and then you'll most likely want to socialise more (if the stories I've heard so far are true) and then eventually find sex that way.
If you want a real test boost, have sex with girls. Only jerk it a few times per week. Merely making plans to have sex with a girl will make your testosterone raise. You know how it is- your body language opens up, you feel confident, your dick gets semi or fully erect, your pits sweat and let out a scent, you feel smoothie as fuck.
Looking at porn will not cause ED barring other dietary and lifestyle factors, unless you watch it all day perhaps, in the Pavlovian style demonstrated in a clockwork orange.
Porn will probably boost your testosterone if anything
I noticed a lot of differences short-term one time I tried it - for three weeks or so (the libido surge was hard to deal with, though) - and even more so the other time I tried it (one year).
