DON'T DEADLIFT IN THE SQUAT RACK
DON'T ROW IN THE SQUAT RACK
NOBODY CURLS IN THE SQUAT RACK ANYMORE BUT PEOPLE DO THIS BULLSHIT ALL THE TIME AND NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING
>commercial gym that doesn't have extra barbells
what do you want me to do, take the bb 10 feet away and do my deads and rows in the freeweight area? and leave the squatrack without a bar?
fuck off m8, it's easier to do almost my entire workout in the squat rack
i do OHP in the squat rack too
my gym only has one and no one ever uses it anyway
As annoying as things can be everyone pays the same as you to be there. So don't be a cunt.
Unless someone literally takes Dumbbells, a bench, a machine your using for a few sets you can't really say shit
>poverty gym only has a squat rack so people have to use it as a bench aswell
Every Monday, it's set up as a bench.
Rest of the week you can squat and deadlift in it. Stingy fuckers won't pay 150 quid for a bench platform
its cool, people can still use the bench.
would be hilarious to see one guy benching and another guy doing OHP above him.
no homo though
in my gym a small girl took the bar away from the squat rack. walked away with it. put on big 2.5kg used for DL and started curling with it. in the dumbbell area.
where there were freee DL and several preweighted curl bars next to her.
In Jetts, there are no loose barbells, so there's no point taking the bar away from the rack bc nobody will be able to use the rack anyway
Jetts is a filthy casual gym in that way
I got told not to drop my weights while deadlifting lmao6pl8, after that I moved to a different gym lel
This. My gym already doesn't have enough barbells for all the power cages, squat racks, and bench press stations, so I highly doubt me taking another would go over well. Plus the rules say you have to deadlift in the power cages anyways.
I will squat then ohp and then deadlift in the squat rack. I go to 24hr and there's no extra barbells to use. No one usually uses the other squat rack so I don't feel bad.
They have like a deadlift platform thing but you can either start with the bar at waist height or it rests on pegs too low where I can get my feet under it for my right stance to pull so I do it off the floor in front of a squat rack.
>uni gym has three power racks
>with lifting platforms
>and spare barbells for each
>but no bench press stations
Any given day sees at least 2 of the 3 racks taken by dudebros benching, and people do barbell rows and power cleans on the platforms all the time
Am I in the wrong for using a squat rack for OHP and occasional pull-ups? I normally transition into squats after and usually do the OHP when there's at least one other of the five squat racks available. Clear it out if someone needs to do squat and just use the OHP rack thing.
I got super fucking annoyed at some tiny ass dudes using a squat rack to do floor press while there was a line for the racks. Don't want to be those ass dudes.
Literally just ask, "Is it cool if I squat here?". If they say no, just look at them like they're literally retarded and say, "But, you can deadlift/row anywhere..."
It will work 100% of the time. I can guarantee you that.
>doing anything other than squats in the squat rack
Fucking kill yourselves
That is true if your gym has extra barbells. My uni gym has 1 bench 1 squat rack and 1 powercage.
I used to do OHP and rows on the bench (because you can bench in squat rack/ power cage) but I was told to do it in the squat rack or power rack for "safety reasons"
>tfw gym has outside area where I can deadlift in the sun with fresh air
There's a bench outside too but there's no pins and I don't have anyone to spot so I just bench in the rack inside.
My gym is like this. I signed up cause it was the closest one to my new place and open 24/7. I always feel so weird dragging a bench over to it. I pretty much only go after midnight now because I'm positive it would be hell trying to get to use it when there's more than 3 people in the gym.
And since it's Canada I still pay out the ass despite how shitty it is.
