I hit my goal of 1pl8 on deadlifts in the gym and acciedentally did 3x5 instead of 1x5 because I'm an idiot. Do I just say fuck it and move on?
The point of doing 1x5 is to not over-tire your lower back, which can lead to poor form and injuries both in deadlift and other lifts . As long as your form is solid, you're solid.

It was only 5 lbs but I still feel dumb for not realizing
I took too many deadlifts once and I got permabanned from the gym and the girl at the counter spit on me on my way out doing the walk of shame (gym manager gets everyone to line up along the exit corridor booing and hissing at you)
still had to pay the last month of the contract, too.
