anybody here run a mile faster than this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQSycSS90mI

probably not
>>
>>35683178
nope
>>
>>35683178
1.6 km in 6 minutes is really not that impressive
>>
>>35683315
nope
>>
Bruce Lee used to run 1 mile in 3 minutes. The guys from the motivation threads said, so it must be true.
>>
I ran 3150m in 12 minutes, don't know how to compare this to your time, but yours does not seem all that impressive desu
>>
>>35683178
Am I supposed to be impressed by this?
>>
>>35683434
yes because you cannot run this time or pace

>>35683416
yes I also heard when christian bale was filming for batman his mile run was 2.58

>>35683417
you suck
>>
>>35683178
6 min miles is not impressive at all when it comes to running.

To normies who aren't /fit/ it is, but to anyone who runs often as their chosen form of fitness it's below average.

Mile time - Bench Press By Plates
7:XX-6:31 = 1 plate
6:30-6:00 in mile = 2 plate
5:59-5:30mile = 3 plate
5:29-5:00 = 4 plate
4:XX = 5 plate+

Hope this helps
>>
>>35683417
It's basicly the same. He ran 1609 in 6.
>>
>>35683178

yah.

I can do a mile in 6 minutes.
>>
>>35683738
Yes, but my distance was longer. The bigger the distance the more tired you get, so it is not really the same.
>>
5:20
>>
i can do a 5:12 mile and i run long distance
>>
In high school I ran the mile in 4:23
>>
my fastest was 4:53, can still consistently do a 5:30.
>>
>>35684378
Are you me? What's your 5k time? I did 5:12 last year
>>
>>35684561
it seems there are a few runners about

@high schoolers getting <5 min miles, try again when you're older and not 150lbs
>>
>>35684608
Ran a 10 miler in college in 53 minutes, forgot the seconds. Ran 3k in 9:13

Haven't run a step since I graduated in 09. Don't plan on running ever again actually. Feels good.
>>
My fastest mile was 6:27 before the injuries sidelined me last year.

Hopefully 2016 won't be a load of bullshit injuries like 2015.
>>
Fastest ever was in highschool, 4:52
So yes
>>
>>35683178
Me, not even a pro runner and i can do it.
>>
>>35684608
Uh excuse me I was 165 when I ran sub 5
>>
>>35683178
Yes, personal best is 4:58 and I'm not even fast.
>>
>>35683178
I attempt a 6 and a half minute mile every day. Some days I get it. Some days I don't. Not my main goal but definitely something hard to maintain

>>

>>
>>35684409
>4:23
Lolol. I did mine in 4:22. Why are you such a faggot?
>>
i ran a 5:04 in october for my last run ever
>>
>best
4:36, hungry skeleton mode highschooler
>currently
somewhere under 6 minutes; 30 pounds heavier 5 years later

Haven't run one mile in a few years, but recently ran just over 2 miles in 12 minutes (see-how-far-you-can-go-in-12-minutes, as opposed to a timed 2 mile run), which translates to <6 min/mile pace
I think I could get 5:30 if I took one week to prepare; my cardio is shit so it would take a few months to do any better

>tfw want to run D3 track this semester
>don't want to stop lifting
>>
>>35683178
Jesus is this in america? That is some shitty looking city right there
>>
>>35683178
I wanna run so bad, but my cardio endurance is dog shit, not to mention I'm trying to gain weight.

How do I git gud at running, /fit/?
>>
>>35683178

>>
>>35688449

>>35688256
>>
>>35688606
You have to keep at it. Little by little. Get a little faster, go a little longer.
It's not rocket science, just like pounding the iron, breh.
>>
Just tried for the first time in my life and came in ~8:30. My calves and throat hurt.

Seems like fun tho.

Someone please tell me what manner of shoes to buy so I don't kill my joints or something.
>>
A 6minute mile ain't shit . Get sub 18 minute 5k and you got something
>>
Pb

>>

>>

>>
>>35683611

>>
>>35691026
Considering that the world record mile is 3:43, I'm suprised at how many /fit/asses should be record holding olympists
>>
