i want to get some muscle definition, im not trying to get ripped just buff. i have some money i just dont know what wights to buy. can i get by with dumbbells? i dont have a lot of money to spend and i need something that's versatile and can be used for a lot of exercises

if you had the common sense to read it, you'd know that there's a reason gyms don't have over 9000 different fixed barbells, but rather the regular ADJUSTABLE olympic ones. buy some adjustable dumbbells dumbfuck, they cell some cheap ones at walmart or your local swapmeet.
Sticky literally says to do a basic strength program of the 4 main lifts. You need a fucking barbell and plates. Aka a gym membership. Everything else is trash. So get the fuck out.

barbells seemed limiting to me as far types of lifts you can do with them is that really all you need.
