I'm around C2. Started as your bogstandard skinny fat last spring. Did SL for a couple months, then switched to ICF for a couple months. Started PHUL around October and have been doing pretty much that since.

My goal has always been "be healthier," but I never actually nailed down the specifics (i.e., be more muscular? be able to run a marathon? be more agile and flexible?). That's what I meant by saying I should take a step back and figure out what I'm trying to accomplish. Not that I'm lacking motivation or discipline, but rather direction if that makes sense.

By the mark of 2:42 this was my fucking face, but sincerely almost all the guys that were on his "success stories" look delicious on their after picture. When he got to the part of "the chances of this transformation in a decade" I would be far happier with the before rather than the after.

I feel like after a certain point of musculature+bodyfat% all the guys look good enough and I'd be happy with having any of those bodies or dating any of those guys.

Click-bait video titles are, in my opinion at least, things like "GET SHREDDED ABS IN 2 MONTHS!" And while scooby has done something similar to this, he states that he does it simply so people will click on them and IMMEDIATELY hear that it isn't possible - information they should know.
Scooby does (or has) use click-bait titles not to gain views or popularity, but to trick the people who search for these things into learning that they need to re-evaluate their goals, which is overall better for the fitness community. The videos you pointed out are not click bait videos with baseless info in them.

If you can't increase your bench from 135x5 to 225x5 (maybe 20lbs +/-) in six months on a reliable linear progression program you're seriously not trying hard enough, not eating enough or not consistent enough. Along with this strength gain will come bigger triceps and bigger arms. It's really that simple. You'll notice a big difference in your arms when you can rep 225.

Fuck off Alex. I have better strength genetics than size genetics. I can max 205 on bench but my arms are only 12.5 inches flexed and I've been lifting 21 months or so.

Most people who max 205 on bench have significantly bigger arms than I do. I'm not even very lean, sitting around 11% as a 140 pound 5'8" guy.

My existence proves that some people are better inclined to gain size and others don't gain size quickly, but max out their strength potential at a given level of muscle mass very effectively.

Well, frankly I still hit plateaus on my lifts at a 500 calorie surplus every 5 weeks or so.

I have a feeling that I have been consistently over training and adding in unnecessary volume in my training that hinders my progress.

I have a pretty good idea right now of what i've been doing wrong. I've spent 3/4 of my time lifting basically spinning my wheels.

The only times I have made consistent progress were when I did full body workouts with 3-4 day per week frequency and minimal volume and very little accessory work.

For example, I ran PPLPPLX for a couple months and made literally no strength gains. As soon as I began doing full body again, my bench started climbing up again, but at a lower body weight.

I have cut down. I was 148 pounds in July and am around 138 now, but my lifts have gone up.
And as far as the lower back- I'm aware of it, but no one in my family has disc problems and my build is such that it's very difficult to prevent rounding, especially given that grip is one of my limiting factors
