You'd have to take stupidly large doses of it for a long time before it'd give you any serious problems. It's a non-essential amino acid. The acetylized version of it is more bio-available so you take less of it, but you can also take free-form L-Tyrosine. I've taken it daily for a year and have no problems from it I can report. YMMV, do you own research of course.

One word of caution about L-Arginine supplementation: If you have ANY form of herpes (mouth sores, genital warts, shingles, etc) avoid taking this as a supplement UNLESS you also take an equal or greater amount of L-Lysine with it, otherwise you will have an OUTBREAK that will make you want to kill yourself.

I also take resveratrol, which is a red wine extract that is supposed to be good for the heart. Also, in some studies it has acted as an aromatase inhibitor, stopping testosterone from converting to estrogen. Probably a placebo desu, but I make enough money that I can afford a $20 bottle every few months.

Ibuprofen is top notch for killing DOMs. Really useful if you fucked your shit up and you've got work tomorrow or something. Plus, it doesn't screw around with your protein synthesization like acetaminophen or codeine would. Also, codeine is for degenerate druggies.
