Who else here eats like total shit, but still hit their calorie and protein goals every day?
Am I fucking my gains up by not eating clean?
I dont know about gains but i found out there is a significant difference in the look if you eat 2700 cal of junk or 2700 cal clean whole foods. This calories in calories out thing is bullshit if you care how you look.
I eat whatever and look fine, not ripped tho but am bulking atm so that's to be expected. On cut I also eat whatever just less and end up with great results.
Thing is I don't like chocolate or candy or other sweet stuff so maybe its partly because of that.
It's mostly your health you're fucking up. I started eating clean and watching my micros about a year or two ago. The difference is huge, I feel more energetic, gains come easier, I almost never get sick, etc. I'm never gonna eat shitty junk food ever again.
By eating strict 2700 calories for months and only play with the type of foods im eating. I look better when i eat clean. Im not talking about low carb type of eating. Plenty of carbs just whole foods.
Not in that sense, but 'clean' foods will have more of a micronutrient profile and will be more beneficial than that of 'dirtier' foods. That's why alcohol is considered an empty calorie.
