Complete and utter bullshit. Free radicals and supercompensation by damaged tissue are important parts of exercise-induced hormesis. Antioxidants negate most if not all of the benefits.

Actually answered why wasn't getting decent sleep even though I was lifting heavy 3-4 times a week. And while I felt my initial endurance in things like sprints was good, the recovery time between sets stayed horribly long and never improved.
