I was a fat fuck before i started lifting and for the first 5-6 months I worked out like a fucking idiot on machines only. I never did SS, I just worked them hard and recently did Smolov.

I am currently cutting, didn't roid, didn't even think about it, it's just that i was a fatty at first and building muscle wasn't that hard.

I never cut, I started out when i was 16 and a half, wasn't very fat but I was overweight and shorter than I currently am. I just loved the results so I just ate accordingly because I loved seeing myself getting bigger.
I squatted 430 recently, benched 275, ohp 135 for 12 and DL 490.

Make sure you got your form in check. I rushed my DL and was doing 365ish after like 6 months but my back was rounding, my hips shooting up. Deloaded and went about it the right way, it feels better than ever.
Also, for me squats benefit most from high volume, i did them every 4 days for quite some time. You could try to do a daily max everytime you hit the gym then go do your normal workout, it helps your CNS get used to the feeling of heavy squatting and it makes you much more confident in doing it, which for me meant alot.
Push pull. Used to do chest legs shoulders tris on push and back hams on pull, varying the exercises so I don't do heavy DL exhausted from squats or heavy squats exhausted from DL's. Went to the gym every other day tho.

i rarely 1rm and work in the 60-80% range, bench is only thing i'm pushing atm, as upper body is dyelish. squat is probably low, i never tried anything higher, i just do lots 2/2.5/3pl8 reps.
