What are you talking about. Powerlifting was a thing for creme de la crop handegg players in high school college and regular infantry. As soon as you get stationed and comfy in ya barracks it's a good idea to lift and condition.
Are you all talking about 1. actual competitive powerlifters, 2. people who call themselves powerlifters, or 3. people who train with the big 3 as a strength focus?
I'm >>35634915 and big 3. The closer you can get to carrying more than your body weight the better. Entirely lean muscle based
90% of military PT is shitty body weight excercise. If you can work up then good. I garuntee you a ton of rangers and spooks were meat sticks who said "fuck it, I'm almost there"
