Currently I am eating 1500 calories to lose my weight. Sometimes I eat 3000 calories during one day and I fast the following one. What does /fit/ think about these kind of "cheat days"?

The 3000 calories and fast the next day is fine, even healthy. Intermittent fasting days do your body considerable good, and are far better than just eating extremely low calories every day. Honestly you'd do better to just eat every other day at like 3000 calories and just fast in-between and not even bother with 1500 calorie days. The longer you fast the better though, so if you fasted two days at a time twice a week and only ate 3 days a week, but ate enough calories to cover the week you'd do quite while I should think.

I'm 6'4 and currently 107 cutting on around 1200-1300 calories, and that's a high guess. It was pretty awful the first week, it's not so bad anymore.

OP here, I am a 67/182 (kgs/cms) skinnyfat. It indeed is not much, right now I am living sedentary but I used to lift stuff and eat about 2200 cals and still lose weight. I can't afford going on a gym right now so I am thinking about starting running just to refill the cals I would burn to eat more, eating 1500 a day is pretty tough for me

That is, unless he's actually lying about his height for some reason. At 160cm he'd actually be overweight.

1500*7=10500

Your weekly intake should be 10500.. So you are completely free to eat 3000 one day as long as it averages out. You don't need to counter it the very next day.


No such thing as a cheat day. If you are eating at your desired weekly caloric intake, then you are following your own rules.
