The feeling of soreness will be extreme the first time you deadlift but there's no actual harm being done, only beneficial micro tears and regrowth. I know it sounds crazy but just trust us.

If it's really bad pop some ibuprofen, soak in a hot tub, and just try to forget about it.

Keep up the good work though, you're on your way to becoming a ripped boss. Soreness also diminishes a significant amount once you become more experienced in lifting.

Did you watch Mark's vid on dead lifting? It's an easy wat to fuck up your back, so be careful. But it is a great exercise so definitely don't give up on it either.

deadlifts go up by 10 each succesful lift day
bench by 2.5 lbs

The problem you're having is that the program doesn't fucking say "Oh yeah just keep chucking on weight on your first day until it's heavy". It's a beginners program, it's supposed to start out light as fuck so you can get your form down so you don't snap your shit up at heavier weights.

Everyone was nearly definitely staring at you because your form was so fucking terrible and they wanted to make sure you didn't snap your back, people don't generally stop and stare at randoms doing light weights for any other reason.

It is normal. You will get calluses on your hands soon enough, whether you deadlift or not. You probably won't be able to walk well, and will stand very straight for the next couple days.
Just practice form, and don't drop the weight unless you are just doing reps. Lower bar to just above the knee before allowing it to fall. Keep your hands on it the entire time, though
