How is one supposed to progress by 2.5 lbs if there are no 1.25 lbs weights to put on the bar.
Ι recently started laggin on my lifts and I realized that I was stupid enough to not think the lbs part and I was adding 1.25kg(the smallest plates in my gym) on each side for the lifts. Well obviously deadlifts and squats weren;t a problem but my bench fucking stalled at 70kg 3x5 and ohp at 50kg 3x5. Do you think that the +2.5kg total was a big reason that this happened ?
Yes i bought microplates for xmas and i smashed thru plateaus with them esp on the fucking bench man, i had to be stuck on 155 for 3x5 for like 1 month, got micros and im doin 162.5 tmmrw for 5, ohp also went up too
Get 2 20 oz bat weights.
Bought some a few months ago for 8 bucks.
7.50 + shipping.
Although you might get weird looks for bringing your own plates to a commercial gym.
seems relevant to post in this thread
I love dips, but I can do so many dips that I need to add weight so I've been dipping with a dumbbell between my feet but at high weights it becomes awkward
the dipping station isn't very high so I have to bend my legs
I thought the gym would have some weighted vest but it doesn't seem like it does, it has this seemingly retarded vest though
anyway, whats a good dip belt?
