September 2015 - January 2016.
Started crossfitt-esque classes at work, they get a PT in daily and it's free so why not? Got some fitness and learned form for a couple of key lifts.
From December I have been doing SS, definitely noticing solid gains since I started. Other than that I just do jiu jitsu (Kawaishi)
Very impressive, overall you gained muscle and seemed to have retained or even lose BF
Good start, keep it up and you'll have a very good first year of lifting
Good mass gained, keep going and when you shred down in 1-2 years you'll look fantastic
Keep it up, mang. Make sure you add in a good amount of upper body accessories to SS so that you don't turn yourself into rippletits newest dino victim.

I've done a large variety. Back and forth between strength and hypertrophy routines. Think it went something along the lines of PPL (focus on compounds at low reps so pretty SS'ish) -> SL (briefly didn't like rep scheme) -> SS with accessories -> 5/3/1 BBB -> Texas Method -> Suicidal volume hypertrophy routine -> Back to Texas Method.
Right now I'm running a Smolov Jr cycle for Squat and OHP. Doing it for OHP was a bit sketchy at first but it's actually working great for me. Finished second week and haven't failed a workout yet.
OP please tell me how much you weighed before and how much you weigh now? Also what is your height (just so i can put the weight in perspective)

In the beginning, go on a bulk because you can gain a lot of muscle (and weight in general) fast.
After the "noob gain" years wear off aka 3-4 years of consistent and legit training/eating, then slow it down and go for longer bulking periods with slow gains in a gradual caloric surplus aka not dirty bulk.
In either case, I recommend bulking on more carbs and less fat. So like 20-22% of your calories coming from fat

Don't have a good before picture but these are my face gains after working out for 1 year (although the before pic is 6 months before I started working out). I like to think I look less like shit now.

Body gains. I'm 6'2 and I went from low 150s on the left to low 160s on the right. I know I still have a longggg way to go and there's nothing I can do about my ladyhips, but I'm in it for the long term. On a slow bulk now.

Started as a fast bitch, now a less fat bitch and about 10 pounds from abs. Feels right.
I'm 6'0. I do have okay core muscles. Like I can feel it under the fat.

3 years, pretty meh mass gain for that amount of time but didn't really start getting smart about things and serious about fitness until 2 years in.

Honestly, fortunate genetics + low bf%. I rarely do core isolations. When I do, I superset ab wheel and hanging leg raises. I keep telling myself I'll start working core, but I still haven't gotten around to it desu senpai.

That is true, I can't speak for other skellies but eating is literally the hardest part. It used to be if I ate too much I would feel sick and bloated, In my case my illness played a part in this. But you can train yourself to eat more. Much like lifting this is best done by incrementally increasing it. But yea, point taken.
Sub 220 now, tho I've been sick the past couple of days so I'm not sure if I'll stay that way.
Regardless, feels good man. Onderland approaches for literally the first time since I hit puberty. People treat me like a normal dude.

Depends how young you are, you always have time on your side and I'm pretty sure there are things you can do.
Surgery is always an option but from what I understand its expensive and has a high risk of complications.
That said using "afraid of loose skin" as an excuse to not lose weight is bitch mode.
Some people will talk about loose skin as if it's the person's own fault for allowing themselves to get that size to begin with, but I just think it's sad that when someone does decide to make the lifestyle change that they are punished with such a shitty obstacle. That said, like the other anon said, don't let it stop you from continuing your weight loss journey. Work hard and start looking up different loose skin remedies besides surgery and you'll make it some day. Mirin' your current progress.

Either way, to those who asked about them, I'd recommend getting a size bigger than what you'd normally get. My legs aren't huge yet, but the pants shrank a good deal from the wash and are pretty tight now.

Good progress man, I would do a little mini cut and get shredded then just lean bulk for as long as you can. I've bulked up to 15%+ too many times and it never seems worth it. Better just staying lean and keeping a small surplus

One month a few months ago. Don't have a current pic.
Serious lifting with a plan for almost 7.5 months now.
Some fucking around without any plan nor progress for 2-3 months before that.
Yes. I stalled out after 2 months and did several deloads.
But I wasn't too worried about it since losing weight was more important to me.
Now that I'm bulking all lifts go up like crazy.
As a complete beginner you still will make at least some gains, even on a cut.
But don't expect a progression like on a SS bulk. You will be slower and should except more deloads. You will also have a hard time to recover from heavy squats 3 times per week on a cut, so I increased the weights only every other workout instead of every workout.
But you should decide whats more important to you. Losing fat or getting strong. For me looking good was more important and that means being lean so I decided to cut and accepted that my progression and strength and size building will be limited for that period of cutting time...
Again, i'm a true begginer, focusing on form right now rather then the weight itself, but I don't think it's useless.
In theory, if you eat enough protein you should be gaining at least a litlle bit of muscle, right?

Imho it also depends from where you start.
If you are fat: lift and cut.
If you are skelly: lift and eat.
If you are skinny fat: lift and slow cut until you start to stall then lift and eat

If you look like pic related don't bulk. You are 20+% bodyfat and will end up really fat if you do a SS bulk here.
Cut first to atleast 15% bodyfat before even thinking about slow bulking.
Personally I'd even do a longer cut to around 10-12% bodyfat and then bulk.
if want max fat loss do intermittent fasting and calorie counting. Try training while fasting and if you're tired break your fast before training. post email and i'll email you kinobody program

after googling intermittent fasting that's kinda what i already do, i usually eat at like 2pm and 10pm, although my weigh barely goes up or down (hasnt gone below 69kg or above 72kg in the last few months) so i guess i need to cut more calories

do SS for a Month then switch over. If you want more strength gains add a whole body day (squats deadlifts and bench) so it goes like ABCxDx. Focus on your cut first and get into the habit of eating on a deficit. Also stop cutting when you get down to 15% body fat or else you wont progress. Start clean bulking once 15% body fat has been achieved. Enjoy Gains

check'd and yes after the cut go SS. alternate between SS and kinobody for max aesthetics and strength. i do 7 weeks between both. Remeber everything works, but nothing works forever.
Strength gains will be better on a full body program you dipshit. Don't recommend things when you have no idea what you're talking about.
Stay on SS guy, move to an intermediate program like madcow when you start stalling.

I started 3+ years ago, but it definitely hasn't been 3 years of consistent lifting due to injury, no gym, etc. I could have achieved that in 2 years if I knew then all that I know now desu.
Not really, if you're beyond the point of no return. There's consequences for trying to kill yourself the slowest way possible.
The good news is people that only had a little bit to lose tighten back up, most cases. I don't know any 150+ lbs lost peeps who shrank back properly, though.

Biggest advice I can say is, while progress pictures like this are cool, I don't really have a "goal" I want to get to.
I just enjoy the ride. When I bulk, I focus on having fun and being strong. When I cut, I get into marathon training and do MMA. But I do always count macros, always.

Shoulder and back problems, hindering exercises a lot. Gotten through some back problems and hit 165kg on deads last month, going to work on shoulders/triceps which have been underworked so much due to shoulder problems (dislocated shoulder once, permanent damage)
