Ah yes, the daily "what do you think of SL thread".
Some people will come along and tell you that it is UTTER GARBAGE because it deviates a tiny bit from another program that they like better (usually Starting Strength). I also like SS better, but that's not to say that SL won't work.
I personally think Greyskull Linear Periodization is your best bet though.
SS clone
aka a meme

This
But for real just fucking pick one and do it. The differences are so small that your results will practically be the same, all things being equal

It's fine. Just go lift some weights bro.
any routine is better than no routine
but SS is far an away an objectively better routine than SL, and has better resources as well.
Plus SS is quicker and easier, so I literally cant see why you would ever want to SL when SS is better in every way
If SL is a clone of SS, then is doing SL still fine?

It's g9od but I wish I switched to 3x5 after my first deload

How come?
Was going to make a similar thread, but will post here instead.
Currently doing Madcow 5x5 program, with all recommended access exercises. Have been seen good, steadily progressive gains. Only issue I am having is I'm not really seeing the kind of growth on my arms that I would like, and it's starting to look disproportionate.
Any recommendations for other exercises I can throw in to work on my arms more?

The extra two sets just makes it harder to progress without that much more strength/hypertrophy gain. It's good to learn form with light weightd
Why do all memesters complain about lack of direct arm work on SL?
Do fucking ICF 5x5 you dumb cunt.

Shit do http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:The_Program instead.
Done SL now on SS.
If you wont start with about 80% of your max just do SS or it will be just waste of time honestly.
But if you are fat as fuck anon start SL for 2month it will be much easier to do than SS

Do chin ups mate.
Currently on Reg Parks 5x5, and I think it's better. Seeing more gains than SL
>>35603293
assuming I should do those on the day I'm not doing pullups yeah?
>>35603392
Of course you're progressing well, because Reg Park's 5x5 is the original; SS copied it and reshaped it a bit, and SL copied the name "5x5" only and slapped it on SS's routine. Bill Starr is somewhere within this as well.

It's my routine and I like it personally.
once I'm out of DYEL I might change it up a bit
might not
idk

From what i've seen, it's better to do them a the end of every other lifting day
