If you only hang out at the gym, on /fit/, and on bb.com, it might start to seem like a lot of guys are fit, but in reality the vast majority of men lead a sedentary lifestyle and look like shit. Go to a beach sometime, I promise 99.9% of the men there will be DYEL, skinnyfat, or just plain fat. There'll probably be at least 2 women who look good in their bikinis, but you'd be lucky to see at least one man who isn't disgusting shirtless.

Besides, I know way more women who diet than men, WAY more. I know way more women who go to the gym and exercise than men, though they just do cardio. Any commercial gym is going to be 3:1 women to men but all the women are doing cardio. That's not even counting all the time women spend on makeup, clothes, shaving, and personal hygiene.

The real issue is that going on /fit/ for long enough makes you start to think that bigger = improving, not bigger = not improving. So you admire men who put work into "improving themselves" by lifting and worship women who lift.
