I go mixed grip on 1pl8 m8, I don't give a shit about training my grip slightly more. I did 150 kg overhand for a single before I switched to mixed grip tho. I have never missed a deadlift because of grip strength so why care? The only reason to only use DOH is so you have an excuse when you can't pull 2pl8.

I will go ahead and admit I struggle with double overhand at 3 plates. around the 3rd rep my hands start to struggle and sometimes I cant always get that 5th rep. at 365 my hands pretty much cant take it and I lose the bar.

Not him but I just converted my lift to murrican measures. I've lifted for 1.5 years and I'm lifting for aesthetics and my total is over 1200lbs. I've never used mixed grip, straps, chalk or belt on deadlifts.

Your brain won't let you pull what you can't hold on to properly. By using the strongest grip you can, you can exert more force, thus pulling more weight. This is important during warm-up to get you ready for work sets, and don't waste unneccesary energy. I know you aren't interested but other anons might.

Maybe marginally at 1pl8 but I'd rather warm up with the grip I pull with, and mixed grip will always let your body use your strength more efficiently then DOH, meaning that it will prepare you better for pulling heavy. Also as I said before, I have never failed a deadlift because of weak grip so I see no reason(for me) to use DOH
