Any California bros successfully canceled their membership with this shit gym before? These fuckers have already overdrawn my account 5 times.
I found this of their website. Not really smart with reading contracts, anyone know what it ways?

Send a letter stating you want your membership cancel to In-Shape Health Clubs at 6 S. El Dorado St, Suite 600, Stockton, CA
95202.
Then wait for a response. Also if you still have 6 months or more left on the membership( if its a contract) then you'll have to pay $250 or more(?) if its less than six months left its at least $150 in cancellation fees.

Would I have to pay those after I cancel or will they keep charging me until I pay the cancellation fees? I'm currently broke. Just want them to stop overdrawing my bank account.

dunno doesn't really say when you have to pay the fees although i assume its before you cancel the contract(you do have a contract right?)
>>35549897
Yeah, I signed one like an idiot and didn't shop around before I signed it or read the fine print. Am I basically fucked?
>>35549917
unless you pay the cancellation fees, yeah

Isn't that against the law? Should I report these guys to the FTC or something? How in the fuck is that legal?

1.Take all money out of your bank account.
2.Close account.
3.Open new account.
4.Problem solved.

It doesn't work that way in the US, pal. Wait would this actually work? Can they still overdraw your account if it's closed?

>take a credit rating hit

No, they can't. I'm in the US pal. It'll come back to them that the account is closed and then you'll start getting some angry letters/phone calls. Eventually they will get a collection agency to start calling you.
