I started to eat clean week ago after a long time and yesterday I noticed acetone smelling breath is coming from my mouth. I tried to brush my teeth and tongue again, then took a chewing gum, but it didn't go away. After that I remembered, this is something that happens when you are on keto diet so I ate some bananas, apples and kiwis t to refill my sugar storages, but today it's the same shit. I wasn't trying to purposely avoid carbs, but it happened anyway. Should I eat more sugar to stop it, or will it disappear naturally?
Post what you eat in a typical day.

Yesterday
Breakfast: Cottage cheese with chive
Lunch: Vegetable soup and white bread (I know I shouldn't be eating this, but we didn't have whole-grain)
Dinner: Egg omelette with cheese and tomatoes
Besides that I drank 1 cup of milk and maybe 5 glass of water and as I said some fruits (apple, banana, kiwi, raisins)

desu you might be having diabetes. Not fucking with you, get yourself checked for that.

Does cottage cheese have the live active cultures in it? They are beneficial bacteria that improve your whole digestive system. If I go a few days without some of that whole milk, unflavored yogurt I start getting a bad taste and bad breath.

That was the first thing that came from google, when I searched it. It scared me, but then I checked other sympthoms and I have none, I'm feeling energic and healthy. I had bad cold unless 2 days ago btw, could be this also part of a problem?

Yeah, it's a keto side effect. Either eat like a non-autist or deal with it.
Also, it's not constant smell, just occassional "whiff".
Brush and floss everyday, and use a saltwater mouth rinse 2x a day

No one said it yet, but as a doctor I feel like I should. Check your glucose, acetone breath is common in diabetes.

This. This. This. Especially if you have a family history of diabetes. Consult your physician.

Okay, thank guys. Altough I really think (HOPE) it's the "keto diet effect" I'll keep this in mind. I'll increase my carbs increase and if this problem persists, I will consult my doctor.

Btw another thing I noticed. I have very strong feeling the smell comes from my nose, not mouth. If I breathe with shut mouth (by nose) it gets stronger.

also if your urine tastes sweet it is a pretty sure sign
>>35538416
Not really feeling like tasting my urine, smelling is enough?
>>35538439
you dont have to chug it, just dip a finger in and give it a lick
or pee on your own face and pretend a girl squirted on you if you prefer
>>35538450
I tried it and it's everything but sweet.
>>35538463
thats good but you should probably still get checked out if it persists

It was said before, doc.
Are you finding it worse after a workout? It could just be a side effect of amino acid breakdown as your body stuggles with the lack of protein and carbs, thats not much energy your eating bro.
