An entire youth in front of a computer basically killed me while leaving me alive.

We're talking about kyphosis, forward head, rolled shoulders, caveman look, the whole fucking catalogue in one single package. Not the light version, we're talking shoulders doing the angel wings and golem look here.

Now i'm 25 and i look like absolute shit. Is this even salvageable or i can forget to look normal again ? I just want to be able to close the case and move on, or else, depending on the answer.

>Is this even salvageable or i can forget to look normal again

I used to have this same problem and all I had to do was just keep a straight back while playing videogames for 3 days and kept doing it onwards and it fixed the problem stop overreacting you faggot
>>
Facepulls, rows, stretch shoulders in all directions and pecs.

Make a mental note and force correct posture whenever you think about posture. It will take a while but do it everywhere and with time you will be fine.
>>
A large part of posture is based on back strength. If your back is reasonably strong, sitting up straight will feel natural and effortless. You're just used to an extremely lazy position.

Get everything nice and taut. You'll look a hundred times better. Give it three months to claw through beginner gains.

Also even if you fix it you will still occasionally walk like a predator in the gym with your head down and with an angry look
>>
what is the correct posture whilst sitting?
>>
You know how tou hear about people benching all the time getting their shoulders pulled forward by tight pecs and front delts? Just do the opposite, do a shitload of rows, row every day in different variations. Row row row yoir boat, work for me

Congrats, you're an exception. Have a physician look at it. Most people will improve their posture with exercise.

Not lifting the good spots it seems.

Basicaly shove but in chair and keep a neutral arch in lower back. You can stay at 90 degrees or reclined at 130 etc as long as lower back is neutral. Don't let it round. This is somewhat an universal rule. Never let lower back round in life. Also another clue is to sit on your bottom, not the upper but like when you slouch
>>
>>35523855
this is true, i have the same problem AND i have an overdeveloped chest, so i try to row and facepull a lot to balance.

>i still bench press because it's my favorite lift even though i should stop for a while

My posture got alot better, but forward head stays because I sit infront of a PC all day.
You can't claim just lifting will cure everything, you still need to put effort into curing your posture problems.
>>
>>35523984
Nigger my job REQUIRES me to sit in front of a screen all day. I can't just say "fuck my income", income that ironically enough allow me to hit the gym in the first place, because of (i'm not denying them, far from it) problems related to sitting.

I just don't know anymore.

No there's no hope.
Fitting is for the physically abled.
Disabled people like you and me should just give up life and accept being an unhappy slave.

it's very easy to fix your posture. you don't even need to lift weights. the key thing concerns visualization. you have to focus on how you want your body to appear: then you have to hold that position over and over until your body adjusts.

don't make things more difficult than they need to be by also adding lifting into it.

first fix your posture, then get into lifting.
>>
>>35524015
try to better your sitting posture, get a standing chair if thats helping

One thing that helped me was a switching to a standing desk. I exercise and stretch daily, so standing gives me time to practice posture.
>>
Standing desk + do rows all the time and you'll be in business

Is this now a vulture thread.
Post vultures.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO IMPROVED YOUR KYPHOSIS:

How much height did you gain? I'm a 5'8 manlet. If my condition is moderately bad, can I expect to gain an inch after it's improved?
>>
>>35523738

I had all yours problems + this shit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torticollis

I have visited numerous docs, went on rehab, did exercises at home nothing.....

What fixed me? Deadlifts, in beginning I couldn't get even into starting position, so you can imagine how fucked I was.

Face pulls- did wonders for my posture

Farmer walks- teached me to keep my posture and neck straight

Ditched the Squats because I had a habit of not keeping my neck streight.

Added front squats, it literally forces you to keep your chin and neck straight, also did wonders.

When will they learn?
>>
>>35524396
Don't exploit my desperation :(
>>
Neck bridges will fix forward head. SLOWLY work into a full Bridge on the back and front of your head. Once you can do a full Bridge both ways hold it for time. Plus you will get a joocy neck
>>
>>35524343
You won't get taller, you will appear taller.
>>
>>35524446
In other words, the height that was already supposed to be there will restore, right?

How much can we expect? I'm just wondering what's typical.
>>
>>35524452
When you measure your height, that is your full height. When you have bad posture, you will appear shorter due to slouching and not standing straight. You will gain the difference between your actual height and how much you slouch. I don't know what this difference is for you, so I can't tell you how much "taller" you will get. If you measure your height like you do at the doctors (standing tall), that's how tall you will be when you stand with good posture.

Absolutely, bro.

Here are some exercises you can do to help correct posture, but you should also visit a physical therapist because there are different kinds of poor posture:

Neck Retractions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg4iSulJStI [Embed]

Chest Streches (mainly the first one here)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NePr1XKRTLU

Scapular Retraction Exercise
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8FZt1_1rjA [Embed]
(you can also do a simpler version of this by just retracting your shoulder blades while you're just sitting around or driving.)

The Founder (which is kind of a combination of these things, and a real workout)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-K7jtcJ0Dc [Embed]

When seated, put a towel behind your back to help prevent you from slouching (pic related)
>>

Do these stretches everyday, my posture was fixed with a month or two.

Game over OP.

You missed your anabolic window.

You should have engaged in and maintained rigorous training from 4 years of age.

Now your broken.

Years of Vidya and Porn have left you a hunched, asymmetrical cripple.

There's no come back, no redemption, no happy ending for you.

Don't be a drain on society, end your miserable existence.
>>
foam roll, stretch, and work on your posture. foam rolling and stretching did tremendous things for me.
